Arsenal vs Chelsea (Premiership) 29/11/09, 1600 KO
Yeah, I think the protocol is that they have to announce the starting line-up 45 minutes before kick-off.

FIFA 10
I'm saying that for the rest of us, it's frustrating. It's always worse on PC, not because our PCs are worse, but because some people don't have computers capable of playing it. They are completely different games, they don't even change the game-play, they just change the menus and who plays for whichever team. It seems strange that after spending a fair amount of money on my PC, I now have to buy a console as well, for just one game I want to play. Fantastic. If my computer isn't capable of playing a game, I don't buy it and just stick to the previous version, I don't demand that they make the game worse so I can play it.

FIFA 10
Actually you might be surprised to learn that that this image is from pes2010 if you look at your own image link... you're a genius for that btw. Anyway, FIFA admitted themselves that they haven't improved the graphics in the PC version of FIFA10, from FIFA09. Their reasoning is that people in South America don't have PC's capable of playing it... no, I'm not joking.

Match fixing is still rife in other parts of the world. ;) He's Italian enough for it to be suspicious though. :D

The Shed End Football Manager 2010 World Cup Challenge
The problem with picking bad teams is guaranteeing that they all make it to the world cup. I think the better teams picked on a random draw. The best way to do it, is how we did it on another forum, where we had someone who wasn't taking part draw them out of a hat on webcam so we could all be sure it was done properly.

Carlo Looking for long-term stay
The way I've always seen it is that our players have given us the stability in the past. The big characters in the dressing room like Terry, Lampard, Ballack, Drogba, they've been the ones to provide us with the strength and stability to keep us right up there challenging while all around them gets replaced. Now that hopefully we can have Ancelotti giving us stability in the managerial department, and the rest of the staff as well, it makes it easier to replace some of the bigger characters in the squad, which otherwise would be pretty much impossible.

It's internationals, you don't use training. Personally I'd agree with you that choosing Spain would be a cowardly move, but, then again, I'd suggest that choosing teams altogether is the wrong way to go about it. A random draw would be far and away the best option.

Van Persie out
I know Val was talking about getting her stream started the other day, but calling her Van Pee is a bit out of order, surely?

The Shed End Football Manager 2010 World Cup Challenge
Wow, that sounds really bad! A rough guide to what I do when I take charge is this... 1. Look at the squad, and work out a rough formation or two which would best suit the squad. 2. Do a player search to find out who'd join and can improve the squad (taking money into account obviously). 3. Create a rough tactic. 4. Scout the players I'm interested in signing. 5. Look at the coaches, physiotherapists, scouts and training schedules, to sort out whether they can be improved. Then press continue. However, I'm guessing it's the tactics where you struggle the most, so your best bet for that would be to read the Tactical Theories & Frameworks produced by FM-Britain. The '09 version can be found below. http://forums.fm-britain.co.uk/index.php?topic=8967.0 Although having said that, I'd highly recommend getting FM2010 and the new TT&F, the tactic creator which they have in the new game makes it FAR easier to get your team to play exactly how you want them to. I hope it all helps though.

How much did we pay for Alex?
No, we bought him from Santos for money. Rumoured to be between £4m and £10m... although I had heard it was £8m.

2009/10 - at the Fulham Mitre November 21st, 2009
Are marker pens a requirement for piss ups, then? I'm quite gutted I couldn't make it, but unfortunately I was just moving house - now just about finished, hence my return to posting ways - so money was tight and my muscle power was required in lifting heavy things, instead of pints. Next year I should be able to make it though, assuming I'm not moving again or anything retarded like that.

I've been without the internet for a few weeks, so I missed all this. How far along is this? Still a chance of grabbing a team? My managerial style is rather strange, imagine if Sven had a love-child with Scolari, and it became a lazy alcoholic. I play defensive football, with pretty passing patterns, but I don't bother thinking things through particularly well and it all falls apart, at which point, I'm too lazy to do anything about it and too drunk to care. That was too long to be worth reading, but well done for bothering.

I think Carlo was right to leave Cole out, he's better at coming on and making an impact. Deco can't do that, so if things need changing, we can make a positive change and bring him on, to give us that extra spark in midfield. Obviously we'll see whether it works out like that when the game is finished, but I see it as a good move. Andy Gray is pissing me off though... usually it doesn't get to me, but it is now. f**k it, I'm still feeling confident enough.- Football Manager 2010
I'm playing at level 10 in the English Conference in the United Counties Division 1, as AFC Kempston Rovers. If football wasn't cancelled today, I'd be playing on their ground later! My aim is to try and get them from Amateur to semi-pro, and eventually to a professional side, and if I can get that far, I want to get to and win the Premiership. It's going to be a long, long, long game though. I'm doing well at home, but struggling on the road, which I'm putting down to a lack of squad cohesion, because I did make a fair few changes. My assistant is telling me that "The current squad are some way short of operating as a unit." Which I can pretty much see in the performances, so I'm just trying to keep my starting line-up consistent so they can get that cohesion going. I'm predicted a 9th place finish (out of 16), but I'm sitting down in 13th right now. My players should really be dominating games, as they have the quality, so when it clicks, I should go flying up the league.... hopefully even on to win it... if not, my players will definitely be gelled enough to do so next year.- Stamford Bridge naming rights.....
I can see it now on the BBC live updates. "News from Carrow Road, it seems there's been a scramble in Delia's Box. There were six men challenging in there, but the referee has blown for a foul. It seems one of the players was guilty of obstruction in Delia's Box."- Stamford Bridge naming rights.....
Or to paraphrase from The Daily Mash "The Citroen Saxo, 86000 miles, nice little runner, £1200 ono Stadium."- try something new
I think that can be said of pretty much the entire album. It's one of my favourites from recent years.- Stamford Bridge naming rights.....
I blame Kenyon.- try something new
I think you may like this. I highly recommend their album.- Hello from Holland
I used to live near Amsterdam when I was younger.... does that count? My dad was an engineer too, actually (changed career, not died :P ), working in a similar area, although he did Ariane 5. Is that better or worse? Who knows. :P Welcome by the way! - Chelsea vs Man Utd (Prem Home) 08/11/09 1600 KO
