  1. Adam Johnson is looking quite lively for City here, it looks like we could have missed out on a decent player. Not that we use wingers, but still.
  2. I just burst out laughing when that advert came on... it's the sort of stuff which is resigned to spam in England, but they get TV adverts in the states.
  3. http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=...amp;part=sports
  4. Can I have her when you're done?
  5. Freud was a fraud, so it doesn't make much difference either way.
  6. Aye, I'm not saying it paints him in a good light, but it isn't much worse than the first one.
  7. Ah, I thought it was something unexpected, I'd heard rumours about there being somewhere around 8 women in 18 months or something. When he said that it wasn't pretty, I was expecting something worse than shagging around for some reason.
  8. Actually I think the complete opposite to that. If we win, it'll spur us on, show that we can do it, and put the pressure back on the mancs. If we lose, it'll give us something to prove for the rest of the season and we'll get an us against them mentality for the rest of the season. If we draw, it's not a good result and it's not bad. It's not enough to need a reaction, and it's not enough to prove to the squad that we're in a great position... it'll just be... meh. I think it could work out to be a worse result than a defeat.
  9. I may have already imagined that, and several similar situations in the past. :P Not usually with posh, mind you.
  10. I was saying it was the best reasoning, not that I necessarily agree with it. It's a great metaphor and goes some way to explain why society tends to view things that way.
  11. OK, now this may result in hatred, but it's the best reasoning I've seen as for why women are regarded as whores for sleeping around and men aren't. Look at it like this... if a key opens up lots of locks, it's called a MASTER key and everyone wants it, but if you have a lock which any key can open, then it's a pretty useless lock. :P
  12. Did she want a big squad or big squad members, though?
  13. I think we've got to be wary of a backlash to this performance though. They'll know that they played like sh*t that's been dried in the sun, and if they've got any professional pride, they won't allow themselves to repeat it... not least the next week. I think they'll be a tough side to beat next week, because of how badly they played today. Hopefully Drogba can re-ignite his form against them though and make it look easy... saving the backlash for the scousers.
  14. That's right at the beginning, yeah. You might enjoy it more, but as with all things, it depends on what you're expecting before hand. It is a comedy, and it's just a complete piss take out of the entire genre of kung fu films.
  15. Mr and Mrs Smith (remake)... where the f**k is it? It needs to be in there, I walked out of the cinema with my mates when it came to that one. I actually enjoyed Max Payne as well... Oh and Cam, Shawshank is probably my favourite too, but I still think that Kung pow was great.
  16. They already know about it and have done for some time.
  17. The gagging order was lifted because it was public knowledge within football and the club. So yeah, it won't affect them, as they already knew... what it may affect is the average Sun/NOTW reader's opinion of JT... oh wait, no it won't as they'd already made up their mind.
  18. Somehow I think that's what the NOTW are aiming for with this campaign.
  19. That job would probably offer you a hubby rather than a hobby.
  20. It is a bit much, I'd agree with that, yeah. However, these are the sums of money which we're dealing with in football these days. If he earns 60k a week, that's over £3m a year, minus tax of course. Five or more likely ten if we take tax and living costs into consideration and it's a sentence and a half, but compare that to what you'd get for possession of a class A drug right now and it's seven years... not a massive way out of whack. Oh and with Enron, it was actually the individual directors who settled with their own money. I think £5m or £10m would have been about fair, but then again, the court would have had reasons for picking the number.
  21. Lets go with the investing analogy here. So lets say someone invests (almost typed incests there :) ) in a company, and that company knowingly sabotages itself, fully knowing the risk, would the investor not have right to feel aggrieved? We could even point to the Enron scandal, where investors sued the directors for fraudulent accounting which made the company seem more valuable than it was. The directors usually ended up settling out of court for large sums of money.
  22. :P Poor choice of phrase there. It does look like one, but I thought it was supposed to be a pet hamster.
