Empire readers have voted for the worst films ever, and here's the top 50. It does make some funny reading.

But it got me thinking, what would you lot on here say is the worst film ever?

My vote goes to number 5 on that list, Epic Movie. I know spoofs are always complete drivel nowadays, but that one just takes the cake. I quite literally said the word "ha" once in the whole 90 minutes. Even for a bad comedy, that's just shocking.

I'd argue that "Year One" and "Norbit" didn't belong. Where are the Stallone, Norris and Seagal movies? I'd include Pink Panther (S. Martin) also.

My #1 is still "Mississippi Burning". Had good actors, directed by Sir Alan Parker and well received but...

The premise is that a minority population in the deep South beset by bigotry and violence can overcome. Through more violence. The FBI agents organized night raids of their own, using local black folks to do the dirty work. The racist white folks wised up and decided to respect and get along with them. The final scene featured black and white holding hands and singing together on a hilltop. Worst SCENE ever! I left the theater outraged. It could have been escapist, but this film had just enough historic accuracy to make some think this actually happened. That I can successfully defeat prejudice with violence.

I'm from the deep South, and this film must be like MLK's worst nightmare.

Loads of bad movies, but only 2 Uwe Boll movies and 2-3 movies by Friedberg/Seltzer? Seriously, I think many of the films on that list could be replaced with worse ones.

I also noticed that Scary Movie 1 was on that list, but not it's sequels. In my oppinion the first one was the best (or least crappy) in the series.

Still, that list made me cringe. Not only because they are very bad movies, but also because I realized that I had actually seen quite a few of them.

Btw. One big positive thing about that list was that it had Freddy Got Fingered - not all lists do. That is by far the worst movie I have ever seen. Well actually I didn't see all of it. It is so far the only movie I haven't finished (and I've seen alot of crappy movies).

Tom Green should be tied to a pole and pissed on by every one who walks by. Unfortunatelly he would probably see it as good television material and film it :(

i've never been so happy to leave a theatre as when the credits started rolling on "return of the king!"

Complete let down - Straw Dogs

Kung-Pow is the worst movie I've ever seen :P

What???

Straw Dogs is an all-time classic, a brilliant film. The fact that Susan George got her kit off in this movie has nothing to do with my appreciation of it. Well, not much, anyway... :)

dark knight, completely ruined by Bale`s f**king joke voice.

And you can shut up and all, poxy Workington coming down to AFC Wimbledon and winning, b*stards, grumblemumble

Guess it's just not my cup of tea.

Off topic, my favourite movie is the Shawshank Redemption.

Mr and Mrs Smith (remake)... where the f**k is it? It needs to be in there, I walked out of the cinema with my mates when it came to that one.

I actually enjoyed Max Payne as well...

Oh and Cam, Shawshank is probably my favourite too, but I still think that Kung pow was great.

Maybe I'd like it more now?

I just remember seeing it at the cinema and thinking....wow....what the hell is this garbage.

Although, if I recall correctly, there was a moment where this lady picked up a baby after it rolled down a cliff and said "ooooo a baby", and rolled it down another cliff, which made me chuckle a bit. Unless I'm imagining that.

That's right at the beginning, yeah. You might enjoy it more, but as with all things, it depends on what you're expecting before hand. It is a comedy, and it's just a complete piss take out of the entire genre of kung fu films.

the remake of "The Italian Job" (not in italy, and just sh*t) the remake of Get Carter (Stallone? really? Stallone? f**k me). leave them alone you hollywood w**kers.

i managed to avoid both of those, but you'd have to go a long way to find anything worse than the remake of the wicker man. i've heard pearl harbor runs it pretty close though (another one i've managed to miss), and lost in space was truly abysmal.

Only good part about it steve, I thought it was ok, just a let down. It was a poor man's Steinbeck (of Mice and Men) to me

I cannot remember the title of the film but last term I saw one of the worst films ever. It starred Lenardo de Capiro, some lass and somthing to do with a street in the US. Long story short the lass ends up being killed and Lanardo's character moving to the city with his two kids. It was a crap film, one that made no sense at all IMO.

Could it have been "Revolutionary Road"?

I haven't seen it, but for some reason I thought of it when I read your post.
