England vs Slovenia (Friendly)
I somehow managed to sleep 22 hours and miss it (seriously did), but it seems like I didn't miss much... good :D

Chelsea Banned From Signing Players
Would he blame Canada?

Chelsea Banned From Signing Players
A quite interesting article on the guardian site, stating our options for the appeal. I'm not too sure about the headline of it, but it does show some hope in that as long as he wasn't paid when we signed him, we'll have a case for the appeal. That seems to me like something very finite, and easy to prove either way, not to mention something I believe would be illegal under French employment law in any case. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...egulations.html The part which gives me some hope.

Chelsea Banned From Signing Players
I believe that wouldn't stop them from kicking us out though, and I'm sure that the CAS is internationally recognised as a truly independent court of arbitration... in fact wasn't there a court case about that in Switzerland? I'm sure they determined that it was independent and even after that it moved further away from any governing bodies or something.

Chelsea Banned From Signing Players
It's always been a banned course of action, it's FIFA's way of controlling the game, but the part you quoted doesn't actually mean much, really. All clubs have contracts signed with FIFA stating that they'll only ever go through FIFA's predetermined routes for any dispute. FIFA would be well within their powers to stop any club (particularly one they don't like), from being allowed to play in a FIFA competition. Which would effectively end a club. It's quite an easy case to argue that without the solidity in player contracts, sport would be ruined. If any player could leave any club, to go anywhere they wanted to, at any time, it would be detrimental. If I was a lawyer, I'd see that as a very easy point to make, and easy case to win.

Chelsea Banned From Signing Players
I believe that football is an entirely different thing, in fact all sport is. The contracts used are not strictly employment contracts, it was mentioned on Sky Sports News yesterday evening and it was explained, but I can't remember the reasoning. Oh and I believe that all football clubs agreed to go through FIFA's channels, and that going through the EU, or some other court of law, other than the court of arbitration for sport, would open an even bigger can of worms, and could see Chelsea kicked out of world football entirely.

I blame Kenyon.

FIFA demand gender test for Liverpool's Torres
Surely that could also mean he's gay? Quiche is a staple food of the gayers, I believe. Perhaps if he were to make some form of cake instead, that would be a better indicator of being a woman... or fat, actually. I'm not too sure this eggs test is the best way to go about things, Moi.

Ashley Cole signs on
The title made me think he'd gone on the dole! That would have certainly been a shock. I'm pleased that he's got a new contract though, he's the best left back in the world and is really hitting form, let's just hope he wasn't just playing well to get the new contract. It's happened before.

Acoustic Music
I believe this counts as acoustic music. OK, maybe not what you meant, but it's still awesome... very, very awesome. If you want something with a bit of emotion in it though, I absolutely adore this (get it?). Ignore him talking to start with, which does kind of ruin it.

Zhirkov - His best position in the diamond?
The diamond isn't the only formation we've played thus far. We've had 4-2-3-1's, 4-3-2-1's, I seem to remember a 4-2-2-2 and the diamond as well. I'm sure Ancelotti has a position in mind for Zhirkov and who knows what kind of formation we could end up playing with him in the side. Ancelotti has worked with him in pre-season and has seen what he has to offer, so I'm sure we can expect him to have a place somewhere in the side, but we don't just play the diamond, so it's anyone's guess as to where he'll play.

The Bhangra Boys retain the Nehru Cup
I believe it's based on the appearances in recent games, as well as the ranking of the nation. It then goes down to their talent if it's taken to an appeal, which is decided by a panel of former players, managers and whatnot. I don't think this went to an appeal though.

Film help please
It may be practical, but he thought of it before you suggested it. How do I know this you ask?.. well... :D

Carling Cup Draw
QPR! :) Interesting tie that.

Champions League Draw
Somehow I have a feeling we'll end up with Inter in our group and Man U will have Real Madrid.... would certainly get some people talking (and conspiracy theorising).

champions league qualifiers
I was watching Sporting play Fiorentina. I was rooting for Sporting, purely because they have a load of players who are awesome on Football Manager. Was a fairly good game, Veloso looked decent, but Fiorentina's striker Jovetic looked immense. Really, really lively from the moment he came on. He's only 19 as well, I wouldn't be at all disappointed if we signed him.

Spotify
The amount of stuff missing from Spotify is annoying I never bothered with getting it. I heard they don't even have any Vengaboys!? :D

Benfica trio
The scouting source, IMScouting, says this on the players. Somehow I only think it was Di Maria who we were looking at, and The Sun decided to just throw in the names of people who happen to be good on Football Manager, to hedge their bets.

Fastest EPL Players
I think there is also a who's the fastest at the 100m in the Premiership and the list is far more of what you'd expect. I think Lennon is first, Walcott second. Can't remember the rest, but yeah, that is interesting though. It's just that tops speeds won't be sustained by most for that long.

Calum Davenport stabbed in the legs
Still is, these days. This all happened in Kempston, though. I don't suppose you know Elstow Road. The Kempston end of that.

Calum Davenport stabbed in the legs
Apparently the guy that did it, is a drug dealer. Davenport bought his sister the house she's living in... with him. The guy was dealing drugs from the house and sh*t, so clearly Callum wasn't best pleased about the situation. Isn't Bedford great? My mum works in the hospital he's in, so she's excited about the prospect of Zola turning up... is that wrong?

Correct Score poll vs Burnley
I'm thinking 2-1. It won't be easy, but we'll end up keeping our 100% record going, only just though.

Google Chrome......
I kind of covered that though.... I use Firefox because of the add-ons, but I'm saying that YorkleyBlue would be more suited to using Chrome. I'm not saying it's a better browser, they just have different things which they're good at. The add-ons make Firefox better for me, because well, I use them. I'm saying that people not using them, are wasting the best part of it and should probably just use Chrome.

Google Chrome......
The thing is though, Chrome actually has a faster page load speed than Firefox as well, is about as secure, and it's faster to start up. That's what I'm really comparing it to. I'm not sure about power, but for what YB is going to use it for, I reckon Chrome would be a better option. I think my tank analogy was quite apt. It's slower to get going, but about as fast as most once it's rolling. Who's going to steal anything from you if you're driving a tank anyway? Oh and you can carry a fair amount in the boot of a tank :P Chrome is like driving a Golf GTI to the shops, it's small, nimble, gets going quickly, and a tank would struggle to catch it. You may struggle to do all the things like off-roading which you can do in a tank, but you can definitely go down to the shops easily and buy everything you need to. IE would be more like driving a pogo stick, you'll get there eventually, but it'll be a bit wobbly, and slow. You'll struggle to do much though.
