Ruh Buh Juh
Anyone got any reccommendations for top notch acoustic music? I've become obsessed with it atm, but I just can't find enough good acoustic stuff available for download on Napster. Foo Fighters are brilliant live when they play acoustic, like so: Any others you've found/reccommend? :D

PloKoon13
If you haven't yet checked out Alice in Chains Unplugged, I highly recommend it, if not only for the ailing Layne Staley's despairing rendition of the already-heartbreaking Nutshell. The Moos
This might not be "Regular bands doing acoustic stuff" but this acoustic guitar-playing guy is great and this song is so darn good I have to post it.
moi
I've just posted this in "Dedications" but I reckon you can't ever get too much of a good thing. SO - a live acoustic version of Thunder Road - Bruce Springsteen and Melissa Etheridge

Backbiter
I've had an illegal download mp3 of that Springsteen duet for several years - not seen the footage before. YouTube is a great source of acoustic versions of songs - just search 'acoustic' and - amidst all the dross - you'll find some great, unreleased stuff you never knew existed. You can then save the songs as mp3s using audacity. I have dozens of rare Springsteen versions - my favourite is a live version of Darkness on the Edge of Town, but his live unaccompanied piano version of 'For You' is also brilliant (if you like Springsteen, of course). Other acoustic recommendations: Justin Currie (ex Del Amitri) - his MySpace page contains footage of an entire acoustic show which is brilliant. The footage isn't great quality but the sound quality is Neil Finn (ex Crowded House) Paul Westerberg (ex Replacements) Jackson Browne (he's made 2 live acoustic CDs) Neil Young The entire Unplugged series from MTV Nils Lofgren made a good live acoustic CD, too. Evan Dando (of the Lemonheads) REM have recorded plenty of great acoustic songs - and live acoustic versions of songs such as 'The One I Love

Zola's Love Child
If you're looking at more modern stuff I was into acoustic Bifffy Clyro a couple of years ago, which wasn't too bad. I'm assuming you've also trailed through the 'MTV Unplugged' load as well? The Nirvana and Clapton sessions are the obvious standouts. the Cure also have a whole album of some of their greatest hits done acoustically. Eggy McMuffin
I believe this counts as acoustic music. OK, maybe not what you meant, but it's still awesome... very, very awesome. If you want something with a bit of emotion in it though, I absolutely adore this (get it?). Ignore him talking to start with, which does kind of ruin it.
