Is player power king at Chelsea?
I know, I know his son never made it here. I know that. I was here when SWP played for Chelsea. What did he expect? In that time, we WERE the best team in Europe. To lose a game at the bridge, was UNTHINKable!!! when we played here not less than the three points would be valid for four years we didnt lose a game here at the bridge. So he played for Arsenal, I know, so what? He can say, you can agree or not, but dont come to me with Wenger, Arsenal or Ian Wright story.

Is player power king at Chelsea?
This is not the place to discuss about Arsenal or Wenger or Ian Wrigt. Arsenal is Arsenal, they have their polices, what they want and I dont care. They can do what they want. I dont understand why do we have to talk about Ian Wright. He made a point about how he sees us, I posted here to see what was your reaction on his coments, not If you like him or not. I am a bit dissapointed as I see that you dont care about a Chelsea future, now, is all about Ian Wright. Next time I will think if a writer has a relation with any team before bring it here.I am quite dissapointed by many of your reactions

Is player power king at Chelsea?
It seemed like Scolari was too scared. Both Scolari and Hiddink stuck with the old guard and now many of them are past 30 - and others are approaching that age. They are left with a team which is still extremely strong but with one or two exceptions, it is not getting any better. I'm not saying that all of a sudden, Ancelotti should boot Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard out of the team. Of course not. But I hope Ancelotti is able to feel secure enough in his own position to make changes. This is a very important point that reflects where we are at the moment. For that reason I chose to bring the article here. Since the mourinho revolution we didnt bring any important player to the team, just Deco, who is usually with out of the team with hamstring problems.Anelka did very well last season, this season so far he is not at the same level. I am agree with him that in the long term unless we bring some exciting your players able to challenge with The legends ones, we will find ourselves in the same problem that AC Milan are right now. You can agree or disagree, but I dont bring things here to make myself popular. Once again, unless we make changes for next season you will see our decline. This season we suffer a set back in the CL, everyone hailed Jose, but the reality is that we still fight with the same weapons than years before, Lampard 32, Drogba 31, Ballack 33, Deco 33, Terry 29. Our squad is getting older. I will say that some of the names you see in this post, the best of them is over. Our biggest problem is in midfield, not going forward, is all about the pass, the movement, the control of the game, we try to impose ourselves against Inter Milan here, we tried to win the battle in midfield, and we couldnt, and for that reason, the other weapon we used was the long ball to Drogba and it didnt work, In the mourinho era, the team was not so dependent of Drogba as it is now. That team had a very strong midfield, with the best FRANK LAMPARD, the best Damien Duff, the best Arjen Robben, we could cause problems from many areas, now it is all more about Didier, we depend a lot on him. Remember against Barca, one of the best performances I have seen from Chelsea, we didnt have Drogba and Robben, but with Kzman, Joe Cole and Duff and gudy, we were good enough to score 4 goals against Barca. That barca was a hell of team, but we were better. Today is not the same, we still use the same weapons but... of course time has past on some of our players and... you can see the results

To Moi: I believe some of the things he said in his article is the reality of the situation we are in at the moment.

Is player power king at Chelsea?
CHELSEA could end up winning nothing this season. After Jose Mourinho helped dump the club out of the Champions League, the cracks in their Premier League bid were once again there for all to see in Sunday's draw at Blackburn. Maybe they will still win the FA Cup. But I'm not too sure whether Chelsea's fans and certainly Roman Abramovich are that bothered about the cup. Had owner Abramovich stuck with Mourinho, I strongly believe they would have won in Europe by now. But it is now vital for Chelsea's Russian chief to stop hiring and firing bosses and actually back his manager. If Chelsea do end the season without a pot to pour champagne in, they must keep faith with Carlo Ancelotti. Stability on the management side has always been vitally important for both Manchester United and Arsenal. At Chelsea, this appears to have been a side issue. First of all, Abramovich hired Avram Grant and after being denied the Champions League by the width of a post, he was still fired. Phil Scolari followed and I don't think that he had the courage, or the ability, to lay the foundations of a new era at Stamford Bridge. Then, Guus Hiddink was there to fill the gap until the end of last season and he didn't have to take any chances or ruffle any feathers. I don't see any young, exciting signings being brought in to keep the senior players on their toes. They have not brought in enough substance. At Manchester United, there are no shoo-ins. But too many of Chelsea's team probably know they will play every week without anyone pushing them hard enough. You cannot build teams overnight and Alex Ferguson has once again proved he is the past-master. Unless Chelsea are careful, they will wake up one day and realise they are left with an ageing team with only past glories to look at. I'm sure there are issues within the dressing room that Ancelotti will want to deal with. He will probably be wondering whether to stick with John Terry as club captain - whether the team are all behind him, or not, after what has happened in recent weeks. Ancelotti will also be deciding if the player power is too strong at the club. If so, he needs the backing from Abramovich to smash that into tiny pieces. I feel the problem with Chelsea all stems back to the battle of the egos between Abramovich and Mourinho. While Abramovich won the battle short-term, he has ended up as the loser. Mourinho will continue to smile every time he thinks about that win in west London a week ago. When he celebrated after what was a deserved victory, and when he was so ecstatic at the following press conference, he was not merely delighted with a win for Inter Milan. His celebrations were also aimed at Abramovich. He is a billionaire who has everything. But I'm sure, while he relaxes on that massive, expensive yacht, there cannot be a day when Abramovich does not think about the way he treated Mourinho. It must be his biggest regret since buying into Chelsea. When Mourinho was allowed total control over team affairs, everything went well at Chelsea. The problems only started when others started meddling and began telling him who to buy. Now, Ancelotti must be assured that his position as manager is safe - and he must be allowed to manage. Equally, it is important for the club's players to know who is in charge. Ian Wright opinions, I must say that I am agree at 95% of this colum. I leave it here to discuss. I said time and time again, that this is the end of this era and unless we make changes in the squad wi will see the new Ac Milan.

Chance of getting Pato?
Pato would fit very well into the premier league. Another thing is the price you will have to pay to get him out of milan

What midfield players should buy Chelsea?
If we bring players from abroad, they clearly have to make a difference from what we have here. I mean, Silva to me is top class, but the Veloso, Moutinho etc, I am still not convinced, if that is what we look at, I would rather go all day long and stick with english players, such as Milner, Roedle, O' Hara. why? you will never get in trouble with them, they will never complain about the weather etc. This is an English team, and unless the price is too much, we should try to have the max english players able to compete at the highest level. Look at Barca for example, what they bring from abroad is clearly Top Class, otherwise, they stick with their youngsters or players from La Liga. This what I would like to see a A BIT MORE FROM CHELSEA. AS A CHELSEA FAN, I WANT ENGLISH PLAYERS OR PLAYERS FROM OUR ACADEMY AND NOTHING MORE THAN HIGH TOP QUALITY PLAYERS FROM ABROAD.

This squad needs rebuilding
There are many questions to be answer this summer: 1- Lets see what do we do with our youngsters, Borini, Kakuta,Matic, Di Santo, Cork,Surridge, Bruma,Manciene. Lets see If they are going to be given a real chance or not. I will stick with the yougnsters, but lets see what they do, what is the point of spending money in our academy if we dont give them any chance. 2-Some players have to go, many of them are in your list, I will keep on eye on Anelka from now to the end and Joe Cole.Id they continue at this level, I will listen offers specially for NIko. 3- Bring quality players, even if we just bring 2 players, but players able to make it in the line up.specially in the midfield area, where clearly we need someone to help Frank Lampard to create more fluid football, more chances, to move the ball quicker, stop bringing physicall players, add something different to the squad, a player comfortable with the ball. So my policy is the same, that 2 days or a week ago after the defeat against Inter, Quality Players and players from Our Academy. If we have players from our acdemy playing for their nationals team at under 21, we have to given them the chance.

What attacking players would you like...
I just went to youtube and the lad looks good, but I dont know if he will make it at Chelsea, specially in the midfield, one thing is to play in Russia another here, specially in the midfield. I respect your opinion but I become curious about some many posts in favour to Dzagoev.

What attacking players would you like...
To all the people from this forum. I honestly would like to know how are you able to follow Dzagoev? Because here I am not able to do it, by the way, i dont follow the russian league, but for example. Zhirkov, is taking a lot of time to make a real impact on the team. He didnt prove the money we did pay for him. He was ranted as the best player in the russian league. So are you sure Dzagoev is good enough for Chelsea? It just surprise me that you dont choose players, young players such as Silva. Please explain me where did you see this Dzagoev? youtube? How many games did you see him at CSKA Moscow?Do you follow the russian league? because you could suggest more names If you know from there

Lukaku Signed
He is 16, did you see that?, can you tell me how many players scored and play games at a professional level with 16 years of age? 15 goals from a guy of sixteen years of age is a lot. LOOk more than anelka this season.

Lamps burning bright again
:D :D. I am agree with you german, I disagree with the rest of you. I must not a real frank fan,If I was i would be watching something which is exactly what you see. You just go to stadistics and say hmmm, lets see how many goals did he score, lets see how many assists, and you come back here, and say,... mmmm... brilliant season from Lampard. I disagree. He is not the only one playing bad... he is just one of them.

Steven Gerrard?
Is all about Torres, so what happens? To be a Chelsea fan means, to hate Torres, Gerrard, Rooney, Fabregas, Van persie etc etc etc, just because they dont play for Chelsea?, well is not my style, I am not someone who goes to a football stadium to insult anyone, and I wont do it here. You can name players, i can say agree with your views or not, but will never insult a player, not just here, in a football stadium. I feel sorry for people who do that, who behave like that in a football stadium, as a fan I go to the riazor or the bridge to cheer my team, not to insult. All this players I named in this post, I dont wish them luck against us, but for the remaining games, good luck to them. I dont know how many of you play football to any good standard, I did, and never liked to be insulted and for that reason I just try to give honest opinions, based on facts, performances, current form etc, the fans that go to insult people to stadiums I would say to them, all the effort you put into insulting the opossition if you cheer up your team with that passion, probably you will help them to go and get that extra necessary to win some matches. This is L Essien.

Steven Gerrard?
Is just about lamps, people dont like me too much because I made a critical point about Lampard, lol. Is true guys, Lampard is not having a good season, though some of you dont want to acknowledge.

Ivanovic injury
Sky sports news, Dailymail, Ivanovic out for a moth. These are terrible news, another injury, another player out, he will miss the United game. Terrible. Lets see how well we cope now. I have no confidence in Ferreira, maybe we should try with Bruma and see how it goes.

Steven Gerrard?
:) how did I became Chelsea fan? easy in ireland everyone supported man u or liverpool. They hated Chelsea because of the money, at that time it was the beginnings of the Mourinho era, I just though Chelsea played well and since then I became to like it. I suffer like all of you the dissapointments of Anfield, last year, final of CL. I am young in mid twenties but... I know in the 70 chelsea won the Uefa cup against Madrid, for example. I am from La Coruna, so Deportivo is the team from my town, I hate madrid,, and Barca, instead of having them as my second team as 90 per cent of spaniards, instead I liked and became a true blue, the first thing I did in London my first time was to come to the bridge, and I am delighted to live so close to the stadium. Nothing more to say. I was hoping to face this year real madrid, as I would love to destroy them :D .

i am not gonna get into the silly war about who is a better supporter and who isnt. That is silly. If I didnt support Chelsea I wouldnt be here. AS far as my adress, is the truth, is not my prblem if you believe it or not. But I dont need to take a plane, underground or anything like that to go to the bridge. Just a short walk and I am there :D
