Take that mindset to its logical conclusion and in 15 years time we will be no better than Tottenham fans in terms of still talking about ourself as a big club when the truth might be that we haven't won anything in donkeys. We have been 'pomagners' far more than we have been 'champagners' Forget Champagne, the fact is under Jose we got used to winning BIG games against BIG clubs. Its going to take time to accept Grant until he can rectify this. To win the EP we will have to beat Manure and Le Ars, to wint the CL we will have to beat the likes of Barcelona, AC Milan or dread the thought Liverpool. But its ok we got Barnsley in the FA cup so we should be ok for that, but then again we might get Manure in the final. See what i mean ?

You're right, it was a good result, but.....I can't speak for anyone else, but I find it impossible to get excited about a league match against the pikeys when I'm still hurting so much from the Wembley f*ck-up - and I hate West Ham with a passion, always have. Exactly how i feel.

Grant’s record of 3 defeats from 36 matches disguise the worrying fact. His results in big matches are very modest, with no wins in three league matches against Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool and a defeat in his first cup final. All 4 performances were totally inapt. Loved the victory yesterday, but i will be much happier when Grant beats Fergy, Wenger, Benitez, Ramos and O'Neil.
  5. As Grant said in the week, you cannot judge him on one game, so he wont be getting any applause from me, that will go to the players, they lifted themselves up for this match today, i think they smell blood in the premiership, and they fight just that little bit harder. This year the EP is going down to the wire between 3 teams, it really will be close.
  6. Boa Morte clearly kicked out at Lampard, hence Lampards reaction a half push to Boa Mortes chest. These referees assistants are a f**king joke !
  7. Who said Ballack and Lampard cant play together.
  8. Lampard red card for off the ball incident.
  9. I think Cech needs some personal training from Vinnie Jones or some other ex footy hard nut, someone to get him angry, get him wound up before a game. Bit like the waterboy film.

I really dont understand why he hasnt been given a chance to play more often. He does offer something to the team, we need players like him who run with the ball directly at defenders. Things can happen when you take chances like Scotty does. Malouda is not only slower, he wont run directly at a defender & chance his arm, he just passes infield or goes backward. Now we have even less of an option down the left, J.Cole or Malouda, or have we got rid of Scotty to make room for Anelka out on the left wing ?

  13. Some worst.... Fleck Sutton Stein Furlong Spencer
  14. Cant remember it. Still not that clever is it really, for someone who a lot portray as world #1 ! Remember back in 80's the tractor boys keeper Cooper, he was a specialist penalty saver. Maybe Cech already knows his penalty record is not at all hot and is frantically training hard to solve the problem ?
  15. Has Cech saved a penalty for us yet ? Struggling to remember 1.
  16. The whole story is followed by...........

Well its been almost 4 months since my post ^ above, nothing much has changed. SWP and Joe Cole have still got no form whatsoever. Even with Dorgba & Lampard back and Anelka added, things still look blunt in attack. I just cant believe we are STILL so meaningless in attack.

You probably got it just about right Dorset, i dont like it when clubs blame managers for a string of bad results and go and sack them, but this is a very different situation. Avram has been (and probably will all season) been hiding behind results and league positions, with a little sprinkling of injuries he has got away with it so far. But yesterday was the first day that i can say 'hand on heart', he isnt capable of managering a premiership club, never mind a top 4 prem club. The injuried and African players have returned, were back to full strength, so cant use that excuse no more. I can see the next excuse being that he needs time to gel the players back together after all the injuries and the African cup. The league looks to have slipped away over the last 3-4 weeks, weve lost the Carling cup, were only 1 away goal from going out of the champions league, thank God we only got Barnsley in the FA cup. Things have looked rosey as far as results go, up until now, whats worrying is i cannot see Roman backing down at all on this one. Weve got lots of worldclass players, who will grind out results most weeks, but with no managment to inspire them and no creative coaching, weve ended up with a 3 point tunnel vision team with no flare or creativity.
  19. I couldnt give it to Bridge sorry, but you got to keep your hands away from the ball Bridgey, should know that one by now ! In the end i gave it to Drogba for no other reason than making Robinson look like a statue for the goal.
  20. Official both are IN IN IN IN IN IN !
  21. JT is defo in, not sure on Lamps ? The teams just arrived, Alex was looking glum, JT massive beaming smile ! Read what you want !

  23. Forget the £ figures. We can only be the top club by winning more silverware on the pitch.
