Bitter bitter Mancs
Here here, lol at Stoke cheering at our goals, didnt know that. Class. It was hilarious, they cheered all our goals and chanted "You're not champions any more!" through Fergies speech. Not too classy but hilarious. Thanks for the support Stoke!

Kalou
The thing with Kalou is, its obvious that he's been working extremely hard to earn his place in our squad. You can't do anything but respect that. If you draw a loose comparison between him and Berbatov (I know they're very different players and Kalou has been with us longer) you'll see that Kalou had his awful games, missed his chances and went away to work on it. Then emerging at the later end of the season with some cracking, consistent form. He's also a work horse these days, I always seem to see him all over the place trying to get possession and create something regardless of how the team is doing. Berbatov has been Uniteds biggest failure this season and seemed to give up completely at the end. The attitude Kalou had about his troubles is what won me over, and a lot of other fans too I believe. If he's an example of how our new signings should behave, Roman should give him a statue at Cobham :D

Lampard would like to manage one day
Lamps managing us would be epic beyond belief. He'd be like our Fergie too, only not a red nosed whining idiot. Lamps after Ancelotti!

Bitter bitter Mancs
Thats actually a very fun way to look at it. If they refuse to acknowledge their failure then they'll never move passed it - lets hope the management are bitter!

Roberto Martinez & Co - HA! F*ck you!
I agree that it was the general pro-united media spin more than what he actually said. He was just doing his job, giving his fans something to get excited about, not to mention his players and they've done well beating us, Arsenal and Liverpool this season. But as usual the media will take anything they can get to massage Fergies ego and stop the evil blue empire. Doesn't matter though, as usual we spoke with action and gave the media an 8-0 tonking and a trophy to think about.

Marek Hamsik
I did a search to check if this has been discussed and didn't find a dedicated thread. How do you guys feel about him? I know we've been linked with Van der Vaart and with Deco leaving, possibly Ballack too - we're going to need to strengthen our midfield, especially creatively. Personally I think this guy would be a better option to VdV because of his age. I think its great that we're being linked with up and coming stars like Aguero and Hamsik in general rather than blowing a fortune on ready made stars in their prime. Its good policy and from what I've seen of Ancelotti, he prefers that approach. Anyway the Times linked us to him back at the beginning of the season so its probably got some merit to it as opposed to the tabloids. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle6889008.ece

Bitter bitter Mancs
Can't believe I forgot about that, guess beating them in every meeting this season washed that memory away. :) Honestly even if our reign isn't as long as we'd like, I hope they don't win anything for a loooong time. It'll progressively get more amusing each season watching the manc zealots try to blame everything but their own failure. Not meant to be bitter, but its time they had a reality check.

Bitter bitter Mancs
I wont let their crying detract from our team's success. The mancs always get upset when we win the league, without us they'd never lose with Arsenal finishing 10 points behind them and we'd have a FAR worse situation here than even Scotland. These people are bitter, they'll look to amplify everything that went for us in order to trivialise our victory - let them, I for one don't care because we have the trophy and they don't. What's even more hysterical to me is that they're constantly crying about referee decisions going against them (which some do, and a LOT don't) which is a general problem with the game. But they confound the problem with their manager publicly slandering the officials. Got no sympathy, if the self-entitled mancs want their bottle - they'll have to pry it out of our cold, blue fingers. Main Utd Whine Topics: Chelsea v United (H) - Questionable free kick (as said if they couldn't defend that distance then they're just sh*t) - Evan's drop kick on Drogba which Drogba gets booked for... United v Chelsea (A) - Offside goal (yep I thought it was offside too) balanced out with a Henry calibre hand ball goal. Chalk them both and we win 1-0. In fact, I think City fans have a justified argument against the ridiculous phenomenon of Fergie time which has screwed them over 3 times this season. Especially that incident just before our Spurs game. THAT was a travesty.

Chelsea vs Pompey (FA Cup Final) 15/04/10 1500 KO
I can't see us losing this with the charge from winning the league and the prospect of making club history. But if we had to lose to anyone this season I'd take Pompy, they really need a break. Hope they sort their problems out and come back to the premiership, I always liked them. As for the game, can't see passed 3-0 to us, maybe more. I really expected to see Spurs in the final, which would have me more worried.

Chelsea vs Wigan (Prem) 09/05/10 1600 KO
I completely agree. Abramovitch's vision involved a team playing sexy football, and this season Ancelotti has delivered. The only thing Ancelotti needs to do to fulfil the vision is win the champions league. He even did it without signing any players (Except Yuri) so its really exciting to see what he'll be able to do next season - perhaps the sexy football of Ancelotti with the unbeatable feel of Mourinho. We can only dream, and pray we never see the diamond again...

Presentation
Considering Tom Hicks, George Gillett and the Glazers (Anybody notice the protests in Old Trafford in the wake of our title?) I'm eternally grateful that we have Uncle Abramovich!

Chelsea vs Wigan (Prem) 09/05/10 1600 KO
And I agree mate, but we're evil Chelsea and our victory degrades the sanctity of the sport - didn't you hear? Joking aside, I'm pretty confident about saying the media terror campaign against us was our main hindrance this season but there isn't really anything we can do about it except speak with actions. The team answered the media yesterday and it was a flawless performance, so all they could do is avoid it because they had to eat their words. Just think how angry they'll be if(when) we go on to win 4 in a row and retain the CPL!

Oh dear oh dear, what is Capello thinking?
I don't think Gerrard or Carragher should get in the squad, especially if you're basing selection rationally on performances over the latest season. Gerrard has the talent (or at least did), but I question his integrity as a player greatly and Carragher goes without saying. Especially when we have better options on the table. I thought we were moving away from this rubbish, its the same every tournament and we end up shooting our own campaign in the foot. The England Rugby team just got into the habit of dropping established comfortable players living on reputation but not delivering and finally picked some youngsters on merit; and they put in a spectacular final performance in the Six Nations. Capello should take a page out of the Rugby team's book if you ask me, judge players on merit - history doesn't win cups and neither does the press.

Next season
Rooney is undoubtedly their driving force, and also their Achilles heel. They can't seem to afford the kind of signing they'd have to make in order to sufficiently cover him when he gets injured so it will be interesting to see what they pull out of the hat. I'm tempted to blame a lot of inconsistency from us this season on the frankly deplorable onslaught both the team and individual players have received in the press. But that isn't going to end any time soon, Chelsea is the axis of evil after all and must be stopped for the greater good of football. But it'd make sense to me. We both had bad injures and we also had the African contingent out for a month which didn't affect them at all I don't think. The only variable that affected us and not them was the press issue, in fact the press backed United to the end - I think the mirror is still backing them and its over... Perhaps such a successful season will revive some confidence so its easier to ignore those idiots in the press and it wont bother the players so much next season.

The season just ended
10. Cech won the illustrious golden glove despite playing substantially fewer games than Reina. (Seriously the scoucers were talking about the glove like it was better than winning the title, think its hilarious Cech ended up taking it.)

Chelsea vs Wigan (Prem) 09/05/10 1600 KO
Redcafe has a congratulatory thread for us and the majority of the comments are genuine. Nice to see some rivalry respect between fans but you'll always get the bitters, especially with United ironically feeling hard done by this season by the officials. (Karma?) But nobody can reasonably dispute the champions, least of all United, or they're basically voiding all 19 of theirs. The table doesn't lie and any respectable fan knows that. And of course Fergie will always whine but who cares?!

And this is how Chelsea won the title
And they call us boring!

And this is how Chelsea won the title
First team in the Premier League era to defeat all 3 other champions league contenders (big 4) home and away.

Next season
Real quick, if we win the FA cup do we play the Mancs again in the community shield for coming second? Main point, as wonderful as this season is turning out; I'm a bit worried that the Mancs are only a point behind us after gutting their attack and replacing superstars with the not so hot Berbatov. What do you think our main stumbling blocks were this season, why we didn't take the opportunities we had to break away and steal the title earlier and how can we improve? (Although the second half today looked better than anything I've seen Barca produce) I can't see Fergie giving up until he's overturned Liverpool's record and expect a very strong challenge from them next season.

Chelsea vs Wigan (Prem) 09/05/10 1600 KO
Well after that and similar performances this season, I hope we've made the haters accusing us of being "boring" eat their words. Chelsea making history, lets win the double!

Jose Back to Haunt Us
Media seems to be tipping Jose as Fergie's successor. I'm not sure how I'd feel about this if it happened, I'm still a fan of his and on that level it'd bother me immensely that he was in bed with the enemy. On the other hand, his philosophies don't exactly coincide with the drivel Mancs love to preach to us "rent boys" - the way they talk about youth you'd think was borderline illegal... And Jose might end up gutting all that in favour rapid success and huge controversy. I can also see him picking a fight with the Glazers when they restrict his spending limit and eventually leaving in some catastrophic scandal putting our own to shame. I can't see him helping their debt situation either. On that side of the coin, he could bring United to its knees - we're only just getting over him ourselves. Personally I see signing a deal with Jose similar to making a pact with the Devil, instant success for a price Could but fun watching the Mancs pay it. Anyway, thoughts?
