Was this also not the game when Butch Wilkins missed a sitter in front of the Shed? I might be wrong as the old memory is fading a bit.

Was in the Shed for this one a little higher up in the shed and across to the right hand side a bit (facing the pitch). I remember their fans on the North Stand going mad trying to rip the fencing down at the other end and battling with the old bill

Chelsea v Atletico - (CL SF 2nd Leg) 30/04/14 KO 19:45 BST
I never really understand people like you who are so childish and immature. It is one thing to come onto a rival fan site and have a constructive debate (and we have a few fans of other clubs who do) but quite another to come on full of hate and stupidity. You really are very sad

I could be wrong but is that not the late 70's FA cup match?

I'm part Irish and support the national team and also Hibs north of the border. I have friends in the SNP and within the Scottish independence Yes campaign. I am also a life long Chelsea supporter. Does that fit in with your bigoted view of what a Chelsea fan is

Video - Chelsea fans at Liverpool
We played Liverpool 4 times that season and I saw 3 of them including the league game at Anfield. Our fans were transported to the ground in a fleet of double decker buses and the bus in front of the one I was in got one of it's windows bricked by a group of scallys standing on a street corner. They legged it when some our lot charged down after them. When I got to the ground, some Liverpool fans accross the road started to come towards us but backed off when our main lot came around the corner. I must admit I was pleased about that not being one who enjoyed violence. I don't remember how many we had in the Anfield Road end that day but it seemed like a good turn out. The Liverpool fans who were to the right hand side of us kept creeping towards us during the game and lobbing coins etc. Our lot would then charge at them and they would back off only for the whole thing to start again. I remember we got hammered 3-0 or 3-1 that day. We also played them up at theirs in the league cup where we got beat again. The league game at the Bridge was a few weeks after our cup win and the papers were full of how Liverpool were coming to town to get revenge. I was in the Shed end that day as well to watch us beat them 3-1. Great memories of long ago teenage years

I have to agree that some of their fans are just the pits. I have been on the youtube tread regarding the trouble after the game and taking an anti violence and pro Justice 4 the 96 stance but still got abuse from a couple of them.

One of the best examples of this is when we sang it at the Bridge during our 4-2 FA cup victory over Liverpool in the late 70's. I was in the shed end that day and it seemed amazing. We sang it regularly in those days and would finish with a clap between each line at the end

The Great Eddie Mac
My all time favorite manager before the arrival of Jose. I had the same feeling of despair following the departure of both of them

Spot on with this statement.- The official 'Up Yours, John Alridge' thread
It is up to 3rd generation i.e grandparents and not great. I hold an Irish passport through my paternal grandmother. The Irish have had to leave en-mass for generations due to hunger lack of opportunity etc and Ireland as a country has always tried to retain a strong connect with those who have felt the necessity to leave.- Chelsea v Everton 1978.
Yes we have a history of that- Vintage Blues pictures and film
I'm in that lot somewhere would love to find a close up- Chelsea v Everton 1978.
Was that not the season opener with Duncan playing his first game for us. I remember buying a Duncan Mckenzie is magic badge before the game. lots of fans were shirtless as well due to the heat that day. I also seem to remember Butch missing an open goal against Millwall the year we got promoted- Vintage Blues pictures and film
Most clubs did and I loved singing it in those days. my best one being when we sang it against Liverpool in the 4-2 FA cup win in the 70's- Chelsea v Liverpool (PL) 29/12/13 KO 16:00 GMT
They do like to stereotype us Chelsea fans, Mind you I should not mention the word stereo when speaking to Liverpool fans in case they take offence lol- Chelsea v Liverpool (PL) 29/12/13 KO 16:00 GMT
I'm part Irish and support the Irish national team and am also a life long Chelsea fan.I am not keen on Rangers or Hearts but favor Hibs in Scotland I also know a few Irish born people who follow Chelsea as well. Chelsea's fan base is maybe a little more diverse then you give us credit for- Pitch Invasions
I was in the Shed v Millwall just above where they were escaping onto the pitch. Their main mob up the North stand might not have done much on the pitch but did have a right go at that Mesh fencing and I remember it swaying back and forwards as the police struggled to keep them in and the fence up.- Terrace Taunts
Peanuts peanuts get yer roasted peanuts he use to say or something like that- Playoff Final 1988
I was at the Charlton game in the benches near the north stand-god what a depressing day- Biggest crowd you have ever been in at The Bridge?
In 78 we were in Div one and played Liverpool again at the Bridge a few weeks later in tbe league. In fact we played them 4 times that season twice at home and twice away (one being in the league cup). I was at the 2 home games and the league game up there. We traveled from the station to the ground in a convoy of double decker buses and the bus in front of mine had a brick thrown through the window by a group of Liverpool fans in a side street. They soon legged it when all the buses stopped and our lot poured out in hot pursuit lol- Biggest crowd you have ever been in at The Bridge?
Yes it was and everyone joined in with scarves held high. One of my greatest moments from my late teens as a Shedender.- Biggest crowd you have ever been in at The Bridge?
