SPECTRE
Seen every Bond and I'd have to say that Casino Royale is my favourite overall. As someone who used to play poker to make some money on the side I absolutely love the scene in the Casino.

Obsessive Syed Risks Litigation After Latest Character Attack
I swear Syed publishes something every 6 months about Abramovich. If he what he is saying about Berezovsky is true then surely he ought to be a bit more careful?

Regarding De Bruyne, I had a feeing we might eventually come to regret selling him (much more so than someone like Lukaku or even Mata to be brutally honest). However, I'm still ok with it because he had to be sold at the time. This was a player who was unwilling to fight for his place in the team in an area of the pitch where we had an embarrassment of riches at the time - Hazard, Oscar, Mata, Willian and Schurrle were all competing with KDB for a spot in the team. When Wolfsburg made such a good offer in January I think he had to go. Retrospectively, my main criticism would be over the fact that we lost both Mata and KDB in the same window. But IIRC KDB went very early in the window when it seemed like Mata would stay until the end of the season. United swooped in very late in the window and ultimately made an offer which neither we nor Mata himself could refuse.

Dynamo Kiev vs Chelsea (CL) 20 Oct 2015 19:45
Spot on as per Plokoon. The first 25 minutes were probably the best we've played all season - possession, pressing, control, defensive shape and creating chances left and right. Finishing was obviously lacking but other than that it was better. Whilst we tailed off in the second half I'm encouraged by how well we played at the back, two clean sheets in a row is nice to see. We still have a lot of room for improvement but I'm more confident about the season after the last 2 games. I've seen much more fight overall from the team. For example, the players that were dropped and criticised (Matic, Hazard) both responded in the right, diligent way. West Ham is a really big game for us now and a win could really kickstart things...Up the Chels!

That skill by Douglas Costa on Bellerin was ridiculous. When we didn't sign him I made nothing of it but in hindsight I wish we'd got him. He's been terrific so far for Bayern and a skillful, left-footed AM is something we could really do with.

Apparently some Chelsea fans were ambushed by Kiev thugs last night as they left a bar. I hope everyone out there is ok and gets home safe and sound!

Random thought: With Dwight Gayle getting sent off yesterday surely Bamford will get a game now!?

Forgot about that, ffs. RE: Rodgers. FSG should have sacked him in the Summer or given him until January to sort things out. Seems bizarre that they let him spend all that money in the Summer and now a new manager will come with his own ideas etc.

Looking forward to seeing Klopp in the PL, he will be very entertaining I feel in many ways. Just a shame that he will be at Liverpool, I can already picture him pandering to the scouse narratives in his first press conference. He will need a lot of time and money to sort out Rodgers' mess, can't see him getting Liverpool beyond 6th this season.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
On the subject of blinkers: West London is yours, West London is yours, 10 blokes from Acton, are you f***ing sure?

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Not quite sure how to interpret the statement. The fact that it is unprecedented gives me hope that they aren't going to take the knee-jerk approach for once.

Porto vs Chelsea (CL) 29/9/15 KO: 19:45 BST
Got back from Porto last night. Shame about the result and performance but had a great trip all the same. Would really recommend Porto for a short break – Really scenic city with a lot going for it: excellent seafood, friendly locals and lots of cool bars. Everything is very reasonably priced as well and it’s very easy to get around the city once you get there. The Dragao was quite impressive as well. Still suffering a little from it but was well worth it! Thanks to everyone else who came out, atmosphere was very good in our end.

What a signing. To think we could have had him too. A left-footed AM who can play on the right is something I'd love to see us add.

Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
Gabriel is still to face his charge for improper conduct. So can he banned for that now then?
-
Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
Exactly. If he misses Walsall then he misses Newcastle (a) and Southampton (h). I'm quite confident we can both of those league games without him. It's imperative we have him back for West Ham (a) in a month though, that's just type of fixture where we need his physicality.

Papy Djilobodji
It also means that we haven't signed anyone high profile for big money that would then prevent us going for Stones and/or Pogba again in January. For example if we'd signed Garay or Marquinhos for £25m then there's no way we could go for Stones again.

Some interesting stuff from Sir Alex Ferguson this morning from his book. Also given a few interviews to Sky and BBC. Whilst he managed a direct rival of ours and could be a bit of a pr*ck at certain times I can't help but be full of admiration for him.

Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
Assuming the club don't contest Costa's charge, will his ban begin tomorrow against Walsall? That would be great because we shouldn't need him and the likes of Remy and Falcao need match practice.

Chelsea Vs Arsenal 19th September 12:45GMT
Exactly. This quest for moral superiority in everything - daft. Clearly just some elaborate defence mechanism that they deploy to hide behind.
-
Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
The thing is I'm not sure Costa's antics actually make him any better. Yes, clearly what happened on Saturday was pivotal in our victory, but I find Costa to be much less of a goal threat when he is scrapping with opposing defenders. He had the balance perfectly at the start of last season, he was scoring goals for fun whilst intimidating the likes of Tim Howard. But he never overstepped the mark wheras on Saturday he went too far, IMO. So far this season he seems to be more interested in having a scrap than scoring goals. What we need is for him to learn how to control his emotions and use them to make him a better striker, not a thug.

And once again with Arsenal it all comes back to 'class'. I swear the the word class is as synonymous with Arsenal as 'istoree is with Liverpool.
