A bit of a rumour going around again that SFA performance director has been talking to Josh about the possibility of switching his allegiance to Scotland, although he was born in Oxford he has Scot's parents and family. Would be great to see the lad in the dark Blue but think he's waiting for England call. Scotland already been succesful with regards Matt Phillips an England U20 blackpool player who Holloway rates highly so come on Josh ... England by birth but Scottish by choice !!!

Weird that these 3 have an allegiance to either Celtic or the ROI ... ..

This seasons 2nd and 3rd kits did not come in the bigger sizes, only went up to 3xL and i needed a 4xL, however the 1st Kit comes in all sizes up to huge ... i hope they keep doing that for next years as i have to admit i like it

I thought he might grow into an excellent defensive midfielder as he has the height and physique to dominate in ther ... however i feel he is limited by his footballing ability which hasnt developed at all in his years at the Bridge. Along with Kalou if they cant sustain a first team slot after this long and are still only squad players then i think they would be better away from us, freeing up wages to enable fresh new players to come in.

Theoretically we are not out of the title race but the head says yes we are, tbh thought we would struggle this year as the bringing in a new coach and a large nucleus of players that IMO are not good enough was always going to make it difficult for the title win. If we can see the dead wood away and some new fresh talent in (hopefully this transfer window but not looking like it) then i'll be happy with a Champions league slot. Blank canvas for next year with players present and new that the coach believes are good enough for his team not the debris and fallout from the previous managers failings to move them on.

I think Torres is finding it difficult to link up with the present midfielders / attackers as the play slows up as soon as it gets to them ... everytime Anelka gets the ball wide he dwells on it and doesnt look for the killer pass forward, Kalou runs around like a headless chicken on Acid, Malouda has the abilities but rarely gets into to the positions to deliver, Frankie can be a wee bit selfish sometimes and is looking to score himself rather than to create for the team .... IMHO Benayoun would have made a big difference on Sat as he is the type of fluid midfielder that we are lacking, hopefully Mata / Modric will also add this to the team. We were terrible against WBA, we are so predictable now that teams can nullify us and it took us a wee break and a bit of skill by Anelka to get us out of a potential disaster.

Really looking forward to day out tomorrow ... early start in mates pub, onto train at 10:20 to meet a few mates from Edinburgh and in Glasgow by 10:45 .... back to the auld days cannae beat it

Looks like we are getting the lower section of the Broomloan and not the usual away fans corner of the Govan West unless they're giving u sthat and a section of the lower, would be quality to fill the lower stand though .... i remember when Falkirk used to do that for league games :D

Got my tickets through on saturday, they are for the Broomloan Road lower stand, so Broomloan load upper if you can get front row seats, there is the wee corner section between the Broomloan lower and the Govan stand as well. We're in the same stand as the tims usually get

I do hope we are on for a great season as AvB says.... I think he will make 2 or 3 changes as we do need a little bit of "flair" introduced to the team, we have been very machine like and while it was successful as teams struggled to match our play initially, it can be tactically nullified, if as we had, injuries to key personnel happen and we cant replace them like for like, essien, lampard, drogba for example have all had long term absences. If we can get a bit of width added as again IMHO malouda struggles to get wide left and usually blocks of Ashley when he does, we also need a midfielder with a bit of vision to play the killer pass, Torres and Gerrard were masters and i think that Torres felt a bit more comfortable when yossi came into the team at the backend of the year as he knows what type of ball Torres likes, i also feel that Drogba (if he's still here) also likes that type of ball where he's running onto it off the shoulder of the defender .... but hey im not a football coach and im sure that AvB is more qualified than me

4 more tickets successfully acquired ... Now looking forward to meeting up with all the Edinburgh CFC guys on the train prior to hitting Glasgow .... back to the good old days

I think i may be in the minority here but i like all 3 of this years kits .... anything was better than that fcukin green effort. i have the 1st and will be looking to purchase the other 2 asap I like adidias stuff always been quality IMHO

If its the same knee as he's injured before then im afraid he'll be finished in premier league, after having 4 knee ops and 2 clean ups on the same knee myself without any cruciate damage then the repairs he will need will cause so much scar tissue within the knee theres no way he will get back to 100% fit (allegedly every cut reduces knee effectiveness by about 10%) so he will be kippered ... shame as a couple of years ago he was a midfield powerhouse but he hasnt been a shadow of himself lately

IMO the youngsters wont get a chance of a good run in the 1st team as the expectations for success is high in competitions .... Unless they are exceptional theres little or no chance of making it at Chelsea. However, i see no reason in sending these guys out on loan to clubs to get the valuable experience and maybe perhaps like sturridge for example will prove themselves and can come back and be a valuable addition to the squad, if not then maybe could recoup some money for them if we decide to sell as at least they have the required experience .... We could do with one or 2 up at Falkirk who have a recent history for producing and playing youngsters and i think its a well proven track for big clubs.
