cant remember the exact year.....maybe mid to late 70s....since i have attended i had not known spurs to come into the shed in a major attempt to take it...on this occasion the shed end where singing over to the northstand to ...northstand do your job etc.....then someone at the old t bar shouts that spuds are amongst us....b4 you could count to ten spuds had been chased onto the pitch , across it, n into the northstand where they should have been....a veryproud 10,000 shedites sang loudly....YOULL NEVER TAKE THE SHED...excellent

Just a short story that may bring a tearto some of you with a sensitive side It was 1977...i was married to an arsenal girl.....we got married far too quick and it was telling by this time.....we were both 22 and not able to go any further....I shall cut the story down to the point now....One day i came home from work n the key wouldnt fit the lock.....on eventual entry i gathered my personal stuff to leave , when a sweat came quickly to my brow....Where was my case with all my programmes...My 10 years of progs collected at most home matches n (at that time) apprx 45 away grounds....I looked at her smirk and knew it was time for me to fall to the floor and beg her...PLEASE WHERE ARE MY CHELSEA THINGS.....It was too late ....they had been disposed of...never knew where....never to be seen again....i sobbed to my mate steve ballard, another blue, and after a period of 3 years of mayhem, managed to get on with life

I regret very little of what i did in youth...(but)..a slight sadness makes its way into the cobwebs scattered in mymind when i went thruthat phase of getting the oppos SILK footy scarfs when going to away games....I used to aquire them n have em all over my bedroom wall...One slightly saddening one was at sunderland...we ,4of us, got chucked out, and walking back to our car parked in seaburn, i chased a lad and ordered him to give me his silk....He begged me not to take it but cruelly i did to show off...I still see his face when i reminise about the past and wish i could send him a tenner......Still..ive had my share of sh*t too

I must put the record straight..an old thread asked about our first match...I said v man city 1967 3-o...my first HOME match was actually v man city 2-0 to us in 68.....I had visited spurs with Blues 67-68....The memory is not wot it used to be...er where am i....wots this site im on...............

Having been to around 64 grounds , some lots of times since 1967, my view is that we were pretty awsome from 67 to early 80s.....wot we see n hear now is sh*te in comparison...thats my view which others may disagree with....mind u i did enjoy us v spuds this year at the bridge...(tame from past though )
