The standard of football on show here is shockingly bad.

I haven't seen any of their matches but looking back at match reports it looks like individual errors late in games has cost them wins (they've drawn 7 of their 10 matches), but Villa fans seem to pin the blame on his formations, team selections and substitutions. Goals conceded in the last 5 minutes has seen them drop 9 points. They could be 3rd instead of 17th. On a more positive note for ex-Chelsea managers, Ranieri's Leicester continue to impress in Europe. Their league form is poor but they're making the most of their Champions League run.

Di Matteo is in trouble at Villa. Looks like it's going to be 1 win in 10 and yet again tonight they've conceded a late goal and dropped points from a winning position. I'd read rumours earlier he had 2 games to save his job.

Only people who could walk off that pitch and hold their head up was Costa and Luiz. The rest were pure dog sh*t and that's bordering on being insulting to dog sh*t.

LOL at McManaman talking about Conte giving the players 5-10 minutes before making changes. It'll be 5-10 minutes from full time before he'll think about it.

Just shows why so many of us are frustrated with Matic. We know he's capable of things like that, we know he can be a beast in midfield (like when he destroyed Toure for 90 minutes). But we haven't seen it enough for over 12 months now.

100% agreed on this. Everyone we play know there's nothing to fear out wide from us. Ivanovic can't clear the first defender and Dave has to cut inside (not his fault he's played out of poisiton)

The way he worded the question about Costa's tackle (there's an incident I need to bring to your attention), you'd swear it was a deliberate attempt to hurt or injure someone instead of a striker closing down the keeper and missing getting the ball by a fraction of a second.

Whatever about saying it should be a second yellow for that tackle (it's very debatable), to suggest a straight red for that is ridiculous.

Reading on Twitter the rumours of a death are false. A French woman appears to have been injured but no word on the cause.

Why bring so many strikers if you're not going to use them? Kane wasn't at it tonight, so why keep him on? Why leave Sterling on so long? Bringing on Milner was a predictable move. Safe and boring, instead of, say, Vardy and go for the kill.

Just seen on Sky, we've been fined £375,000 for failing to control our players, Spurs only got £225,000. How the f**k do they think we deserved a bigger fine?

Another possible reason is while the deal was the biggest we ever had, it was eclipsed by others soon after, United's deal in particular. I'm open to correction on that. If I am right it probably suits us to look for a better deal, especially with the loss of CL revenue.

Watching Rooney tonight reminds me of Gerrard. Attempting to spray hollywood passes all over the place in an effort to look effective, rather than keeping it simple and actually being effective.

So which Chelsea will show up? The useless shower of sh*te we've seen most of the season? Or the one that actually played (for 45 minutes at least) against Spurs? While a win of any description will be welcome (however meaningless in the grand scheme of things), I'd love it if we produced a performance and a result like on Demba Ba day. The scouse whining and crying after would be glorious.
