I am not... I think he is a good player and think he should see the pitch more. Playing behind Cole will limit his time. I am not saying he should be there every week but rotating him in once in a while wouldn't be a bad idea. Better than him on the bench or going out and signing somebody. Oriol should also see more time. I am not going to rip Mikel like others are today but with the amount of matches we have, getting players like Bertrand on the pitch isn't so preposterous as you make it out to be...

Personally, I would like to see him get rotated in as a DM. He should be playing a lot more... He will get his time when Cole is rested but that shouldn't be good enough.

Why sign somebody when we have a player like Bertrand who could slot in perfectly. Having him on the bench behind Cole is going to be a waste. Make him a DM and lets see him in the line up every week.

Think it wasn't all a disaster. Would've liked to have seen RDM make some adjustments after the red card but I think we hung in there and showed some resilience. Sturridge and Bertrand looked quite good. Not sure why some are writing us off... FFS, we played 45 minutes a man down versus the League Champions... Anyone think Bertrand could play as a holding midfielder? Will get him in the line up everyday and he's shown he can sniff out a goal as well...

Certainly a bad break for Oscar. I dont think it would've been a sure goal but he should've at least put it on goal. For me Rafael and his lack of play was more of a reason for Brazil losing. To be fair, Liverpool utilized Meireles in a more forward role than Chelsea did playing him in a deeper defensive role. So personally, playing out of position and giving us fine performances down the stretch in the Champions League, I think he did alright. I agree with you and think he should stay. Honda is a left footed player which would allow him to cut in from the right side... If Ramirez or Oscar isn't going to play on the right, then Honda would he a good option. He is far cheaper than Hulk. Honda is also versatile to play either on the left or center. Of course if we are going to use Oscar or Ramires on the right, Honda would be surplus, as would be Hulk. The ideal situation is to have Ramirez or Oscar fill in the right and the other plays deeper or they could be rotated...

I didn't compare shirt sales first... Someone else did, going on about how marketable Hulk is in Japan. I mentioned Honda because he is far cheaper and would bring more return in the form of marketable revenue from Japan. Personally, I would rather have Honda for the value than dole out the price Porto is demanding for Hulk. I am not taking anything away from Hulk by any means but at the price that is being demanded I don't think it is worth it. As for Oscar, I believe he plays a deeper role with his club but for Brazil he does not. Truth is nobody knows where Robbie is going to play him just yet. So if he plays along the front 3 in a 4231, then who will be our deeper seated midfielder? Lampard can't do it all season and while Ramirez can, will he? I mentioned Modric but we know that is very unlikely. He would be the best option IMO. Someone else mentioned the Turkish player that Jose is allowing to leave (apologies name is slipping my mind at the moment) and that would be good too and obviously cheaper. For the money we would spend on Hulk we can find far better value. And who really cares what appeal he brings in the form of revenue from Japan. If he's not delivering on the pitch we can say "Well at least he makes it up in shirt sales" And for those that are so quick to discredit Honda, watch him once in a while...
