Miss of the century
I cannot figure out what he did on that first shot that missed the goal. It looks like he walks it into the goal, but obviously that did not happen. I played it back a few times, but I cannot make out what happened (did the ball bounce up on a divot or something?).

Blackburn vs Chelsea (Carling Cup) 02/12/09 20:00 KO
Thanks, KrazyTea. I guess that I will have to see that one on youtube, since it sounds incredible that it could happen from such a long range shot from the side of the field.

Blackburn vs Chelsea (Carling Cup) 02/12/09 20:00 KO
What's up with Emerton's 35 yard goal from the side of the field. I saw that some people called it a howler on the part of Hilario, but no one commented on what exactly happened. Can someone enlighten me?

Hello from the US
I cannot disagree with that.

Hello from the US
It is so politically correct to bash ex-President Bush, but with Obama turning the U.S. into a psedu-socialist state like Sweden, no one says anything, since it is so politically incorrect. Well, I can't give you too much grief, since I can see you are trying to ingratiate yourself to Europeans on this forum, and the easiest way to do that is to bash Bush (he was no gem, but he was not as horrible as people made him out to be).

Update me on the Tranfer Ban?
I will try to answer your questions in sequence: 1) chances of the ban getting put back on? Who knows? I think it is about 30%, but that is just my guess. 2) how long? For two transfer cycles, which would mean the summer and next January. 3) what happens with Kakuta? if the ban is maintained, I suppose he will not be allowed to play for some period of time, but that is anyone's guess. 4) any chance of the ban geting put ban on but the suspension lifted for Kakuta? I suppose their is a chance, but it seems weird that they would do that.

Following our nearest and dearest rivals
Benzema has not adjusted well to La Liga so far. I am surprised, since I thought that he would be an instant success, and I was sad that we did not get him. Now, I am not so sure.

Following our nearest and dearest rivals
The jury is still out on Higuain (he cannot seem to score on the road), and Raul is past his prime. So, up front, they have issues, and their back line is not a good "defensive" line.

And now for Deco
To be fair, he did have some good passes, and was tracking back a lot more than I have seen in the past. Still too many bad passes (like Mikel) to make me a big fan of his.

What a dummy. That was a pretty bad slip of the tongue.

Arsenal vs Chelsea (Premiership) 29/11/09, 1600 KO
To me, it is way too early to think that we are well in the driver's seat. ManU is 5 points behind, but they have played two of of their three games against the others of the big 4 on the road, whilst we played two of our three games at home. That, by itself, closes the gap by 2 points for upcoming games, in my opinion. Also, ManU won at Three Point Lane, and they won against ManCity, who even though they are on a crazy draw streak right now, are still very dangerous. That wins them about 1 1/2 - 2 points over us in upcoming games, in my opinion. Thus, with those two things factored in, I consider us only 1 point or so ahead of ManU.

How could that announcer miss Fabregas' foot between Cech's arms when the foul was given. It was a clear foul on Arsenal, and the announcer said that the decision was a harsh one against them.

9 out of 9 against the other of the top 4. That is great, especially after our meager haul last season.

MOTM vs Arsenal (away)
Essien was super quiet in the 2nd half, so I did not vote for him, Loz.

I feel very confident. We caught Arsenal at the right time, with them going through some injury woes. I just hope that we score the first goal, since if they do, then things may get very hectic. I like the choice of Belletti at right back, and I think it would work well.

Lofty's Wall of Sound - What are you listening to?
I must be getting old, since I never heard of any of these, except of course Johnny Cash.

Your favourite defender
Nothing against Gallas, who was and still is excellent, but I take exception to him being described as two-footed, since he seems very awkward to me when he uses his left foot.

The poisoned Chalice that is the Scottish managerial role
Give the German 'terrier' another chance.

Your least favourite defender?
No to both of your choices. They were mishandled by Mourinho, in my humble opinion. Also, that fantastic performance of Boulahrouz against Ronaldinho when he was at the top of his game merits him a lot of credit. Del Horno was horribly handled by Mourinho (the so-called great one?), and was a great crosser of the ball.

Your least favourite defender?
Here is a new one: Johnny Evans Oops, he had to play for us. Scratch that. Does Bogarde count?

Your favourite defender
Anyone for Celestine Babayaro? Just kidding! My fav is one Renato Paulo Ferrreira, since he never complains and for what he did to Shrek a few years back.

What is your order of hatred?
To me, Bayern is the ManU of Germany, and the New York Yankees of baseball, whereby they buy all the good players from other teams and have way too many league championships as compared to other teams.
