  1. Well, Arsenal played a side with many persons who usually do not start (and Campbell in the back), and so I don't take much from their loss.
  2. Don't say that, Andy! We have a long way to go, and with Citeh still in it, and other good teams as well, it is far from in our trophy cabinet.
  3. Stoke score again! 3-1, with 4 minutes and injury time remaining.
  4. This is a joke, right? If it isn't, you don't have a clue (unless of course you are about 11 years old, which I expect is the case, and thus you are given a pass). P.S. If you are going to post a new thread, and if you are new to the forum, please work extra hard in spelling the thread topic correctly, since there is no "h" is Big Phil's last name.
  5. I agree to an extent, but I am siding with Virosh (Which I seem to do a lot these days), as JT did make a few mistakes, and Nico was all over the place and turning the PNE's defenders around in circles.
  6. Nice read. But didn't JT's penalty kick graze the post?
  7. I don't know what it is about Kaka, but every time I have seen him play over the past 3 seasons, he fails to impress me. I know that he is skillful and all, but I just don't see that extra something in him that all of the great players have.
  8. Agreed, but they are totally different in their styles of play, and so it behooves us to keep both of them. Bossy can make great runs a la A. Cole, and he is a great crosser of the ball. Ivan is a very, very solid defender who heads the ball second to the "God" level of Tim Cahill (who is by far the best header for goals in the World, with no one else close).
  9. I voted A. Cole, since he played a superb 45 minutes, and it was not his fault that he was subbed at half time. Ballack and Malouda and Anelka were also excellent.
  10. I thought that Emmanuel Petit had a lot of game left when he came to us from Arsenal, and I was completely wrong about that.
  11. No, you are not being silly, Valerie. I think your reasons are why it is not done that way, since who knows who will be the starting right back one week over another, and to force players to change their jersey numbers based on whether they are starting or not seems crazy to me (and very bad for jersey sales, I presume).
  12. If Jose continues to play Quaresma, then I know for certain that Alzheimer's disease has set in for him. I think that his love of Portuguese players who are sh*te will continue to haunt him until the day he goes four paws up, and it should have cost him today.
  13. Hmm, it is really off-beat, to say the least, and so I guess it may not suit everyone's tastes. You didn't laugh at the scene where Napoleon gets hit with a steak while riding his bicycle? How about the one when his tater tots stuffed in his pants side pocket are crushed by a classmate?
  14. Let's hope that the Brown/Evans tandem at the middle of ManU's defense stays that way for at least a few weeks, since they can be had.

Isn't it a networking site for business persons? I have joined when given "requests" from colleagues, but I have not really gotten involved in it much. It provides you with email updates and stuff, but beyond that, I don't know much about it.
  16. I disagree. It is similar to the situation in Major League Baseball, whereby the small market teams have no recourse but to sell they best players to the large market teams (like those bar steward New York Yankees). It really is not fair, and it seems like the Premier League even makes it more difficult by allowing the players a great say in wanting to be transferred from a small club to a big club, and not allowing them to be forced to adhere to their contract with the small club for the full term. I kind of feel sorry for the Spammers in that regard.
  17. And let's not f**k it up this time, with our game in hand.
  18. Moos, if you hated Napoleon Dynamite, then you have absolutely no sense of humor. I found it hilarious, in the mold of Monty Python. You are not suffering from SAD, are you, with the lack of daylight in Scandanavia and all?
  19. On its face, those chants are pretty bad, but you have to take it in context as being in a football match, and that no racism is intended in thost chants. Not much you can say to someone who does not understand the history, so Mr. Quereshi will not be appeased, I suppose.
  20. Well put, Cooke. Though I am not so sure that Jose loves us -- likes us, perhaps, but I would not go beyond that. I think that he loves Porto, and likes Inter just like he likes us.
  21. In my mind, that was by far our worst transaction over the past decade, since not only did we get a bust in Veron, but we also gave a large transfer fee to one of our major rivals. At least the transfer fee for Sheva went to an Italian club.
  22. Hello, Simone. We do not have many Chelsea supporters from Italy, only Pauly, I believe. Which is your favorite Serie A team?
