Team Bridge
Thanks, Bluemoon. I'll miss ya!

Reina
Pepe Reina is quality, and no one can say otherwise. Would he come here to be a potential backup to Cech? Not on your life.

Team Bridge
Please ease up on BlueMoon, as he is not a WUM. In the States, I hate Tiger Woods with a passion now, so I kind of see his point.

Chelsea vs Manchester City (Prem) 27/02/10 1245 KO
I am sure that I am in the minority, but I was OK with the subs at the 70th minute. I think we needed to go for it all, since, in my view, getting just one point would have been almost as bad as a loss, and so it was "win or else". Well, "else" won out, but I have no problem with going for all three points, and sacrificing a chance for one point in doing so.

It does not work for me. All I see is a still picture of the incident.

Team Bridge
I was worried that Bridge was going to do to JT what that young Chelsea fan did to Gerrard before the players went on to the field a few seasons ago. That would have been funny, or at least very awkward to say the least!

Chelsea vs Manchester City (Prem) 27/02/10 1245 KO
Fleck, I see that you joined in August 2008, but only 4 posts -- did it take this travesty of a game to make you get involved on the forum? JT is a liability now, and needs to ride the bench for a game or two.

Chelsea vs Manchester City (Prem) 27/02/10 1245 KO
So true, Fleck, but it is hard to get over the Keystone Kops defending that led to Citeh's first goal, which changed the whole tenor of the game. It is still hard for me to fathom how bad we defended. I read the post from the Citeh fan who said that the penalty on Barry was correct, since who in their right mind who is through on goal would fall down without being fouled? I saw it twice, and I stil don't see where Belletti made any meaningful contact with Barry.

Don't forget Carvalho's comical defending as well. Truly a soft goal to give up. Unbelievable!

Essien
Any news on the extent of Petr Cech's injury? From what I heard, it appears to be a calf strain, and not an ligament damage. But in any case, has the team provided an estimated return date for him yet?

Wolves vs Chelsea (Prem) 20/02/10 1500 KO
Sorry about that. I hope not too much of your slop got on Moi, since it is hard to get out in the wash.

Ever cried when we have lost
I am like BlueBeard, in that I don't cry when bad things happen, I just get mad and swear a lot.

Are you related in any way, shape or form to the "beautifully tanned one", otherwise known as Anders Frisk?

I thought Mascherano has been sent off twice this season already, at least that is what the commentator said during the match today.

Inter vs Chelsea (CL) 24/02/10 1945 KO
Lucio is big and strong, and might be able to handle Drogba. I am hoping for a 1-1 result at San Siro.

Wolves vs Chelsea (Prem) 20/02/10 1500 KO
Thank you, Toffee. It is hard to root against Everton, and David Moyes is such a good person. I even like Tim Cahill, and think his heading skills are the best in the world. Some people don't like the agressive of Fellaini, but I like his attitude. Saha always kills us, and Tim Howard always plays well against us. You did very well in getting Donovan, and maybe you can arrange something with the LA Galaxy and keep him. Good luck the rest of the way, and don't forget to defeat Arsenal when you play them.

Wolves vs Chelsea MOTM
Wow, German_blue and I are in agreement on the MoM and MoM-runnerup, as well as our taste in women (I saw your post about girls with fake boobs, and I could not agree with you more).

I could never figure out how he did not perform well last year playing in the Bundesliga. Perhaps it's rugby-like style is not well suited for a skilled player like Donovan, but I think he has found his calling in England. Too bad he did not come to England 5 years ago.

Wolves vs Chelsea (Prem) 20/02/10 1500 KO
I did not think that we played so poorly as others have written, mostly because Wolves played well and did not pack it in. Our defence was cobbled together, and they did a reasonable job. The midfield looked OK, especially with Ballack not having Lamps out there with him (they do not seem to play well together, but by themselves, they do well). Cech was of course excellent, and Drogs also top notch. Bruma looked like a frightened fox in a foxchase, and made some elementary mistakes on simple trapping the ball and wall passes. I would have liked to have seen Hutchinson out there instead, but I am not sure if he was on the subs list.

Wolves vs Chelsea MOTM
I voted for Drogba, but it certainly was close between him and Cech, with Ballack not too far behind those two. Cech made a mistake on the long throw-in that JT kept out from going in, but it really was not a mistake since he was clearly fouled by a Wolves player (the foul was not given). Good game by Joe Cole, Mikel and Ivanovic as well as the above players. Zhikov deserves credit for setting up the first goal, and Anelka did not play badly. Poor performances from Ferreira and JT (that complete miss of a clearance that should have led to a Wolves goal was inexcusable).

Napoli looks excellent. I really like their team chemistry, and have not seen them play until now.

Napoli v. Inter (14 Feb 2010)
Very exciting game (see Pauly, I do give credit to Serie A when it is due). 0-0 at the Half.

Chelsea vs Cardiff (FA Cup) 13/02/10 1200 KO
I am pretty sure that Stride was upset that you found a photo of the FA Cup with a "reds" winner, probably ManU or perhaps Liverpool, and not a picture with a "blue" winner (and thus blue frills on the cup), which would be the case if we won the cup.

A.Cole ankle fracture
I cannot remember any hard tackles made on A. Cole, or any hard tackles that he made in the Everton match. Does anyone know how this injury occurred yesterday?

Everton vs Chelsea (Prem) 10/02/10 2000 KO
I can't disagree with anything you wrote, Forzby. We need speed in midfield, which comes part-and-parcel with youth. Now I know why ManU fans were so upset when they lost to us, since they have the ideal midfield to defeat us. Thankfully, we defeated them, probably because we had Essien in midfield, who is a workhorse and who countered the running of Park and Anderson.
