What sort of reception will he get on sunday?

personally, i liked him...Just the t*ts like Tevez stirring it up with Team Bridge slogans...and i dont understand the JT boo boys either.

I know my view seems to be in the minority, but I think he has made a twat of himself. Getting all high and mighty and playing the wronged innocent. He shacked up with a known slapper, was stupid enough to have a child with her, they split up because she didn't want to go to Manchester - that really must have been true love indeed - and then because someone else is giving her one he's all offended.

On top of that, we get the will he/won't he kindly agree to play for England nonsense too. He should be so lucky to get asked.

I dont think he has played the situation up. Its the media that have been stirring it up, long with the likes of Tevez wearing those t shirts. But i dont think Bridge has done anything wrong. I hope he gets a decent reception and i think he will do

Agree with ES. I would like to believe that there are good guys in the world of football who have women they really care about and are devoted to. And I'm sure there are, somewhere. But in a world of lavish wealth like theirs, where women throw themselves at these players nightly, I dont think anyone is so innocent. Its Naive to think that, just because Bridgey comes across polite in his interviews, he is an exception to the rule.

I liked Bridgey when he was here, but if their love was so fickle as ES explains, and that this trollop was so devoted to him as to take the typical route by going straight to Max Clifford when she had the potential to sell her story, then I have doubts as to how sincere she was.

Despite his naivete, I just feel sorry for him, as he has said nothing and these clowns on his team have been leaking stories about his feelings to the press and making arses of themselves. "Grow up" is appropriate indeed, and they should have let him deal with it like a man, instead of turning it into a circus

C'mon guys surely this doesn't outweigh the goal at Arsenal. He knocked Arsenal out of the CL, we can't boo him just because JT and he shagged the same tart. I think we'll boo Tevez though if he plays. You can't go playing for West Ham and United and then carry on with this Team Bridge stuff and get away with it.

Totally agree, Bridge gave us good service while he was a blue, and did score the goal that made me lose my voice

for a week lol .While he's been naieve in his choice of girlfriend, i dont think he's conducted himself in any way which

deserves a bad reception on saturday.

I personally think it would reflect better on Chelsea if we could applaud him and JT at the start of saturdays match -

and just save the hate for Mr rope burn neck, Had-A-Guy-Whore, and any other Team Bridge stirrers.

He was a good player for us and I was sorry when he left, but I don't ever remember him giving more than 100% in any game!

That's nonsense. For one thing Wayne Bridge ISN'T a Chelsea player any more and JT IS. Also you say he's done nothing wrong. Well I disagree. If it's true he doesn't know if he can shake JT's hand or even play in the same team as JT because he's so upset then I totally agree with dkw. That's about as wrong as you can get. This was his ex-girlfriend and by all accounts she was a right slapper. Or maybe he just wasn't man enough for her, which makes a lot of sense if Wayne Bridge really is such a crybaby. He should have been professional and mature and come out and said it was all over and he wanted to put the whole thing behind him now and that he'd have no problem playing in the same England side as JT.
