  1. I liked him, and still do. BB: I can't imagine that Bluenut came up with those lyrics all by himself, I imagine he found it on the Internet somewhere (probably written by some Hull fan).
  2. Do you mean Frank Rijkaard? Disgusting thing that he did to Rudy Voeller, and I will never, ever forgive the bar steward for that.

So, by your definition, is Drogba a legend, Loz?
  4. Oh well, Rooney scored again, so this game is over.
  5. OK, Fulham is down 1-0 with about 12 minutes to go. I am not too upset about that, since I think this is the only scenario that a team like Fulham can keep ManU from getting all three points at home. Just need a very late goal from Fulham, and everything will be great. The chances of that happening are slim, I grant you, but it might happen.

Those three are my recent legends. Of course, we have many other legends from our glorious past.

No, not yet. Needs a few more years of excellent play. The above posters are too quick on the "Legend" status -- the word is "LEGEND" for a reason. They would probably call Guddy a legend, but no, he was a very good player for us, but not a legend. Same thing for DeSailly (though very close in my opinion). Recent Legends: Zola, John Terry, and Lamps.
  8. I had heard that there was no action, and all boring dialogue... was that the problem with the movie, Moos?
  9. They truly are orcs, as you say, Virosh, and Boaz Myhill is the biggest dufus in the world for parrying that shot right back to Bendtner to allow him to score. What a horrible keeper, and he played so well against us a while back -- go figure!
  10. Perfect analysis. I could not agree more.
  11. Best wishes to Mark Halsey. I always liked him.
  12. Well, it is an obvious answer, but I would hate if we finished 4th.
  13. That's a new one for me. Care to explain what that English term means?
  14. Saw Alice in Wonderland with the wife on Saturday, and it was greatly entertaining.

I like Scwartzer and Friedel, but neither one is likely to move from their current clubs.

    Very funny, Moi.
  17. I am 100% certain he gave us that penalty at the end as you surmise, since it had no bearing on the final result. As to the aerial balls around Tevez, I really did not notice that, but that does not mean that you are not correct.

More money, plain and simple. In the States, it happens all of the times in baseball, basketball, and (U.S.-style) football.

Can I call him a turdburgler as well, or is that politically incorrect?
  20. I disagree, since I think we need to go for the jugular and get the win or nothing else, and a draw just would not have suited us. With 3 points for a win and one point for a draw, I have no problem with this kind of go-for-it all strategy. Kind of like pulling the goalie in hockey when behind near the end of the game. Can CA be faulted for doing this at the 70th minute and not at, say, the 77th minute? I don't think so, since we were doing sh*t until then, and we needed a WIN.

Like Jasskilanean or Sorenson, if they were willing to come here? I would take either in a heartbeat as a backup.
  22. That was no penalty. God, did Belletti breathe on Barry and cause him to tumble down? Anyway, can't really fault Dean, since he probably was thinking who in their right mind who is through on goal would fall down without having been fouled? I don't know what Barry was thinking, but I still don't think he was fouled.
  23. I should have wrote that I was OK to make subs to remove a defender or defensive midfielder for a more attacking player. I would have kept Joe Cole on the pitch, clearly, as he was doing well, and Ballack was just plain horrible out there. So, you are correct in that the choice of who to sub out was wrong, but the choice of bringing in Belletti for Carvalho was spot on in my opinion (I think that is who he came in for). Kalou was properly brought in, but I think he should have replaced Ballack, not Joe Cole. Did City play any better after the subs were made? Hard to tell. They certainly took advantage of the huge spaces that we gave them in our defensive end.
  24. I still hate Tiger Woods with a passion. Fair comment, Mod. I did not see that earlier post by BlueMoon. But the bulk of his posts seem to be OK.
