ws6blue
manc ini starts with a no lose setup, packs midfield and sits deep and hits on the break - so we have to watch bellamy & wrighty tevez coming back but they need him tearing about but won't be fully fit? really important game to win so expect sturrdige in for anelka/kalou and maybe joey in to 3-1 to chels, still top of the league! Bridgeboy
I am never worried at the Bridge, Adebeyour is suspended and Tevez has family stuff on his mind. Citeh really are sh*te away from home, I expect the Drog to have a good game.
ThunderDan
Really looking forward to the beatdown at the Bridge 3-1 NA/DD FL/Deco/MB/OM BI/RC/JT/FM HH (Sub JC, SK and DS) I'm waiting for the first Shed End regular who starts Kalou... rahul
With all the injuries, I think the team sort of picks itself. Ferriera would be back at left back and Malouda left mid. I dont think Deco would start but Joe Cole might. Anelka should be on the bench and we should be looking for a 4-3-3 with Malouda and Joey assisting Drogba from the flanks. Although I'm hoping Sturridge starts in place of Joey or Malouda. The forms of Ballack and Lamps do not inspire too much confidence and we might as well lose the midfield battle against De Jong and kompany. They have all the ingredients to trouble our shaky back four - SWP running at Paulo, Johnson and Bellamy's pace, so I'm not too confident of keeping a clean sheet. It would just boil down to who scores more goals.
The Moos
What's the news on Zhirkov? Didn't I read that he might be back for this game? Or maybe that was just a good dream I had? I had hoped that Tevez would miss this game as well, but apparently he wont. Still, his daughter is ill (right?) so I guess he might not be 100% commited to the game. If it was me I would have atleast half my mind back home with my daughter. Nice that Adebayor wont play. Hate him, but he certainly gives City another option up front. Bridge back at the Bridge. Guess that will be the big talking point. What will happen. Will he get revenge on that nasty Terry? :P Personally I hope to see JT show who's the best. Gonna be interesting to see what kind of reception Bridge will get however. He has always been popular, but now it seems most Chelsea supporters have devided into two groups. One that think Bridge is a t*at and one that thinks that JT after all did something wrong towards Wayne. Personally I just hope to hear some really great songs ;)

CFCCAN
:P The in your face dual will be between Bellamy and Terry..Bellamy will be trying to get under JT's skin all game (if he last's that long) and I am sure a few nasty tackles flying in as well. If I was Terry ....despite being captain... I would line up against Bridge in the tunnel...he'll probably run away the big ponce..he was a weak player here and England won't miss him...just hope JT doesn't jack it in also....It will either be a tough game as everyone will be up for it or it will be a blow out 4-0 Chelsea!!! He continues to be popular amongst the supporters and I dont see any reason to booo him.
lampsgod89
How willl bridge be taken back at the bridge this time after all this sh*t...???
ethicalstrategy
I know. Quite a poser. If only there was a whole thread dedicated to discussing it. Team Bridge It will be interesting to see if Carlo makes many changes after Wednesday. I would expect Ferreira or Bellletti to start at full back, fitness permitting. Otherwise, we might not see many changes. With injuries we don't have that many options anyway. Hilario Ferriera Terry Alex Ivanovic Mikel Lampard Ballack Malouda Drogba Anelka May see Malouda drop back to midfield and Ballack on the bench. Maybe Anelka benched and Kalou starting. byatt
How willl bridge be taken back at the bridge this time after all this sh*t...??? I think anyone that gets on Wayne Bridge's back tomorrow is wrong, he was a good servant to Chelsea during his time at the club and is still a cult hero after his goal against the Gooners in the CL, i certainly wont be one of the fickle few who turn on Bridgey tomorrow afternoon. As for the line-up for the match tomorrow Hilario Ivanovic, Carvalho, JT, Paulo Mikel Ballack Lampsy Malouda Kalou Drogba I think Anelka has gone off the boil since the reported contract dispute, Kalou looked hungry and full of effort on Wednesday and should get the nod in my opinion. clubhappy
Big opportunity to beat these , their recent form is poor and Adabyebye suspended we have to captialise. Want to see more ffom Lamps , prefer to see Beletti at full back if hes fit, Anelka on recent form shouldnt start but i expect he will and hope to see him in a more forward role, Malouda better at left mid , wasted at full back. Hope J.T. stays composed and just concentrates on the game , but im slightly concerned of his current form and satate of mind . Carlo has to work hard at this too, his man management skills will be tested tomorrow . BIG GAME for a number of reasons.
blizeH
I'm going to be really disappointed if Kalou doesn't get a good run out in this one.
PloKoon13
Worried about this one. I hope Carlo learnt his lesson from last time and sorts out a system that doesn't allow De Jong to boss the midfield. I reckon we should give Joey Cole another start. BigIzz
Could be worse...7:45 am for me tomorrow That means I can't even drink (a lot) tonight I'm not sure what we do with the lineup. At the back do we give Alex a start? Is Zhirkov fit? Do we keep Malouda at left back or go with Belletti/Ferrara? I'll assume Ivan and JT are locks for the other two places. Do we go with Anelka - where does he fit in? Did Kalou earn more playing time? Joe Cole get a start? Do we keep the Christmas Tree/4-3-3 or go back to the diamond? I guess I'm all questions and no answers.
Arq
7:45AM for me too BigIzz. Coffee and football, woohoo! This game is either going to start my day off grand or set my bad mood for the rest of the weekend. :D I'm thinking Carlo is going to go with a 4-3-3 setup, something like this: Hilario Ferriera Terry Riccy Ivanovic Malouda Lampard Ballack Kalou Drogba Anelka
mad_mac
12.45 kickoff... Means I got to start the day with cornflakes and lager again ! ... bloody sky ! 4.45am for me, so the question is...will it be the end of my evening, or the start of a new day? Anyway, I'd actually quite like to see what sturridge would be like against his old team. Also, since starting my new job, I am never home in time to enter the BPL, so I'm going to say we'll line up as Hilario Paulo Alex Terry Ivan Mikel Ballack Lampard Malouda Sturridge Drogba Aneka, Kalou, Percy, Beletti, J Cole, Borini, Tunrbull, Tough game, and I think there may be a red card in it! ThunderDan
Great that this match is on ESPN2! That means the visual excitement of Drogba attacking in High Definition, but also the unfortunate Tevez closeup. Thus the handy pint...

Eggy McMuffin
Hey at least you're not working during the game... I suppose I might get some more socks out of it! Also, if I go down to the shop floor, Gillette Soccer Saturday will be on, so it's not too bad. I'm hoping for a bit of a reaction from the Inter game. A fair few of our big match players didn't really play well, and I think it's important that Carlo makes sure they realise this and gets them to react to it and put in a big performance. If Lampard is having another bad game, I think we should get him to man mark De Jong, he was brilliant against us last time, but I think Lampard could match him yard for yard. It isn't his usual game, but he is very much capable of doing it. A big game today, and hopefully we can get the players to ignore all the media bullsh*t and get on with the task at hands. ozboy
Dont care about the team, dont care about the style, don't care about the off field antics, but do I ever care about the result. 10 games to go, I think, 1 point in front, and a tough run in. Lost all my fingernails years ago and now the hair has started to fall out. 11:30 PM start over here means not much sleep for me tonight, so the boys better make it worth it. I read somewhere Bellamy's knees are a problem so not sure whether he can be at full pace or not. However its not how they play, its how we play.
