- Chelsea vs Portsmouth (Prem) 16/12/09 1945 KO
Can't argue too much about that, but I do disagree on point #3. The set piece free kick that allowed Alex to get off a good shot on goal was nice, and I recall Lamps sending in a very nice "beckham like" free kick that Kalou should have put his head onto (of course, that would only give us about a 1% chance to score, given Kalou's propensity to f**k things up from great positions).- Chelsea vs Portsmouth (Prem) 16/12/09 1945 KO
On a positive note, Cech looked fairly good today, and Carlo's substitutions were excellent.- West Ham vs Chelsea (Prem) 20/12/09, 1600 KO
Hey, hey, check out my answer to #14 on Quiz #2.- Football Quiz 2

Your English is fine, Carles. Those Barca fans are horrible by saying such things.- Chelsea vs Portsmouth (Prem) 16/12/09 1945 KO
I like you, Carles.- Chelsea vs Portsmouth (Prem) 16/12/09 1945 KO
Joe Cole had some drive, but his final product was pitiful.- Chelsea vs Portsmouth (Prem) 16/12/09 1945 KO
Are you a Chelsea and a Barca fan????- Chelsea vs Portsmouth (Prem) 16/12/09 1945 KO
Check a few pages back on this thread. There is a link to it. I tried it, but it took forever to buffer, so I bagged it.- MOTM vs Pompey
Good point. He played a very quiet game, which means he defended very well. He had a nice shot on goal via that free kick in the first half as well.- Chelsea vs Portsmouth (Prem) 16/12/09 1945 KO
Blame JT for that. He really does use his hands a lot when defending (that is, grabbing), and I think refs are on to him more and more now.- MOTM vs Pompey
I voted Ivanovic as well, with A. Cole a fairly close second. No one in our midfield impressed me.- Chelsea vs Portsmouth (Prem) 16/12/09 1945 KO
It was an ugly win, but they all count. Don't know what to say about it besides that. I guess this makes up for the bad luck against Everton, since we could easily have gotten one point out of this game.- Football Quiz
Do you know of any footballers who have come out of the closet? I can't recall a one. I truly thought that my guess would be wrong, but I figured that I had to try. On second thought, whatever happened to the stories on Sol Campbell?- Football Quiz

Anyone who played for Boca Juniors? I know Passarella was a big River Plate guy.- Football Quiz
- Hilario or Turnbull
OK, that sounds better. I was interpreting "eccentric" as "erratic", and that is not good. Now I see where you are going, and he sounds like a very good keeper. Are we in the race to get him? From what I read above, it seems like ManU is the front runner to get him.- Hilario or Turnbull
What do you mean by eccentricity? That is not a good thing to have for a keeper, given the standard understanding of that word.- eidurs down and out in las vegas.
No wonder the country of Iceland declared bankruptcy. Perhaps it is innate in Icelanders to not be able to handle money- Dominic West
Or like that British actor on "House" who tries to sound American. Keep trying, goober!- At the crossroads ....
Sounds like Aguero is our man, based on what you wrote, and I cannot disagree with that.- WTF?
I don't know if any of those footballers carries a cell phone with camera into the showers, but maybe we will be lucky and a pic or two will turn up. - Chelsea vs Portsmouth (Prem) 16/12/09 1945 KO
