Been a while since we had a quiz and so, for no other reason than that, here is one.

1. As at December 2009 three players have received 8 red cards in the history of the Premiership – who are they?

2. Which two players shared the Golden Boot in the 1994 World Cup?

3. Manchester United once broke the British transfer record when they paid £1.5m for a player. Who was it and who did they buy him from?

4. In 1985 Kevin Moran became the first player to do something – what was it?

5. Who is the only person to have played both World Cup football and World Cup cricket?

6. Which team has played in the Premiership, the new Division 1, old Division 1, old Division 2, old Division 3,old Division 4, as well as Division 3 North and Division 3 South?

7. A referee takes 10 things onto the pitch at the start of a game – see how many you can get

8. Only one player has scored in every round of a World Cup including the final?

9. Years before the Munich air disaster another team suffered a similar tragedy when 18 players were killed when their plane crashed into a hill just east of Turin. Which team was it?

Duncan Ferguson is the last one for number one and the gypsy curse is correct. When they were first founded and the stadium was built they evicted some gypsies who are alleged to have placed a curse on them
