Was it John Terry who missed a sitter? I do not have a stream, so I am basing my guess on a minute-by-minute text descritpion of the game.

I don't buy that. Anelka should work well with Quaresma, and with Drogba'a form and attitude as of late, Anelka is the correct choice to start.

Geez Louise! For someone who does not normally bet, that it a big chunk of change to wager. I hope it works out for you, BlizeH.

59 angry users. Probably the only non-Chelsea person more mad at that idiot Riley is Fergie, since it would have been 0-0 if not for him.

I could not handle ManUre having a three-peat, so I guess I will have to root for the Villians to win the League. We don't get any breaks from the referees, and Mike Riley needs to go back to the Championship based on his horrible performance today. I hope that they do relegate poor referees that way, and if so, send the bald bar steward down a league or two.

MOTM vs the Dippers
Alex . . . . not even close.

No, we were robbed, plain and simple. It should have been 11 against 10, with Liverpool having to play with 10 men. If you can't trust the faggot referee, who can you trust?

Piss Up - Arsenal - FA Cup Semi, 18th April
The wife and I would like to go, but cannot make a definite commitment, being that we are in the U.S. For us, the later it is the better.

Rats: Again ManU pulls it out in the 90th minute, and Aston Villa scores the winning goal a man down. Too bad for that, but still a good day.

Positives: Kalou and Malouda looked good out there, and the subs were fantastic. Negatives: Alex was sh*te, don't know what has happened to him. Cech still looks very shaky. Ballack looked disinterested to me, and his shocking miss at the 60th minute was hard to fathom.

Can you blame them for that tactic? It worked at Anfield, and almost worked here. It is up to us to unlock the defence, which we finally did.

MOTM vs Stoke
I picked Di Santo, for his critical header to Belleti for our first goal. The true MoM was Sorenson, to be honest.

88 minutes of agony -- 5 minutes of bliss: Strange tradeoff, but it was worth it!

PL, Man U. vs Chelsea, 11/01/09, 1600 GMT
What if ManU mentioned to the referee and the linesmen before the game that they would do something like this -- would that make a difference (forget about the pushing and stuff in the box, which is another issue altogether)?

MOTM vs Man Utd
Looked to me like Vidic had a right to be where he was, and we did not switch off like a good team would do in such a circumstance.

Scolari's note's found in OT dressing room!
One more thing found on that note: Free kicks: Please try to hit the wall, since I have heard that scoring off deflections somethings happens.

PL, Man U. vs Chelsea, 11/01/09, 1600 GMT
I agree about the linesman making the correct decision on the first corner. If Rooney would have told the linesman that he was putting the ball in play, then OK, I have no problem with that, but Rooney, Mr. Potato Head, did not say a word to the linesman. Thus, if after kicking the ball one foot and walking away it, if a Chelsea player would have smelled the roose and ran directly to the ball, I would bet you 100% that Rooney (or Giggs) would have picked up the ball as if Rooney's first kick was never in play, to then take a "normal" corner. You can't have it both ways, and the linesman was correct in not allowing the ball to be in play due to that. It happens sometimes in the NFL, whereby a team notifies the referee before they do a really weird trick play, and if they don't do that and teh play is whistled dead, well, they have no one to blame but themselves.

It was kind of weird watching a game in which I was totally sure we would not come back from a 1-0 deficit. Much blame to go around, but can someone finally tell Carvalho to not grab a player in the box (like he did to Ronaldo), since by now the referees should be up to his schoolboy tricks and he should be whistled for a penalty sooner or later. The guy is nuts, and continues to get away with murder. The penalty was not called, and I guess Carvalho is the luckiest guy on the planet, but it just pisses me off to see him do it time and time again. The wife and I wore our Chelsea jackets to go out to lunch after the game, to show our pride, even though it was a difficult game to swallow.

No match chat = lack of activity on game day. Still don't understand how the match chat can cause problems with the forum, but I am no techy, so I defer to Loz on that one.

Vidic scores in injury time, and ManU wins 1-0. Rats, I was hoping to gain two points on the Mancs today, but no luck.
