Read it and I get the same feeling of it. He probably feels he can reel up his weekly income some. Can't imagine how he survives with 85k per week this time and age. Poor Arjen. He has to cover his expensive wedding and all. Probably his father the agent has something to do with this...

Wow! Earlier I was just sitting at my work, but now I feel bad for being so lazy. I need to improve. I can be the hero of my office. Thank you Bluenut for the uplift. But seriously I agree with all you wrote and I really hope he chooses JM over Schuster!

Totally agree with c3blu and Phillip. If you remember there are not that many games where Robben has played and been totally cr*p. He is either playing well or sits in the crowd with sore ankle. Everytime he's on the pitch there is something going on in the left flank. You also have to realise how many times in one game he gets the lumpy defenders studs in his feet. Defenders are terrified when he's with the ball and have to work their a**es of throughout the game. He's had so many serious injuries during his short career that he's afraid to get injured again. That is probably one reason he many times goes down without any or little contact. He still needs to improve in many ways and probably will. Meanwhile watch this clip. Dacourt of Roma targets Robben and kicks him.
  4. http"] I'm a computer engineer and interested in new technology, but I don't want technology to be added in football. It is much nicer to argue over those 50/50 situations. Was the ball in or out? If the referees get an 'hawk-eye' they will not get all the s*it they are used to. I wan't them to get all the s*it they deserve

I haven't seen anything official on that matter. I'm guessing we are going to add at least one name to out's. Probably one winger is out, maybe Robben or SWP. One of our many DM's could be out. Maka or Diarra. Diarra's loan deal out would do him good. We should loan him out to Arse*al, he'd probably be MVP for them the whole year.
  6. Robben at his best is the best left winger in the world! The diving and sometimes selfish acts are things that can be 'cured'. His team mates should say to him, professionally of course: STOP DIVING YOU SELFISH LITTLE C*NT! If in fact his head is also made out of glass he probably will cry for a while but will come around soon enough. Drogba don't dive as much as he used...
  7. Are we still after Chimbonda? Kenyon said that there is nothing to that rumor. Glen is on his way back, right? He has potential... Anything concrete on this? Only read some rumors, but nothing seem like it is going to happen. He should go for his own sake. At this point he's crowded out in the worst way.
  8. Fair enough. But I'm not sure JT is a complete lump , so to say. He can hunt down strikers if needed. Alex seems to be a lump, but I'm still sure he has pace and diversity. I mean he has to have, he's from Brazil! Ben Haim is a mystery for me since I seldom watch Bolton play. What I know is Jaaskelainen usually has his hands full in the goal.
  9. I agree with G4. What does it matter if DD is complaining about the formation? Do you think that JM makes his gameplans with Didi? Football is a teamgame. I have said it already ten times, but I will say it again. Last season we were without J.Cole and Robben almost the whole season. It is hard to play through wings without decent wingers. Plus JM needed to find a place for Ballack and Sheva. I think those are the biggest reasons why JM changed it to diamond. But you never know what is going on in JM's head...We could be playing the diamond whole season, but why are we piling our money for a pure winger and stick with Robben? Robben can play many positions but left flank is his home, so to say.. We just have to wait and see...
  10. What are you suggesting then? What is the difference between Ferdinand/Vidic, Carragher/Agger and JT/Riccy? I see them as similar duos and think ours is the best. Now we have really solid backups. Something we didn't have last season. JT and Riccy are not slow, come on. Tony Adams is slow. OK, you never know how Alex succeeds in EPL but he has the best teachers in JT and Riccy, so to say. Has Boula already left?
  11. We are probably going to play with at least two kinds of formations. Not that different from each other but enough to make things happen when needed. other is probably jose's beloved diamond: .....................cech....................... paolo/glen...riccy...jt...a.cole/bridge ...................essien....................... ....ballack......................lampard... ........j.cole................................... ..........sheva..........drogba............ ....................cech........................ paolo/glen...riccy...jt...a.cole/bridge ...................essien....................... ...ballack.......................lampard... j.cole....................robben/malouda ...............sheva/drogba................. The key in changing between these two formations is Lamps/Ballack. They are intelligent enough to either feed the wings or play 1-2 with J.Cole or whoever plays as shadowstriker/tip of the diamond. The thing is who are we going to sell? We have a huge squad on our hands if Alex and Malouda are coming...
  12. Getting Torres is not a sign to get stronger in the EPL. They should have targeted an older British striker that has been good years ago in EPL...oh sorry I forgot, that is what they did year ago and failed miserably. ...no one mentioned Rafa that Sheringham is probably available.

Well, actually my knowledge about the marking in that particular game is based on those clips, so it isn't much. Probably Bolivia's defenders aren't as good as they should be against someone like Pizzarro but especially that first Pizza's header is great IMO and isn't it possible that if an attacker is bad the defenders look good and vice versa. Personally I'm not into all of these conspiracy theories or everybody hates Chelsea. I actually should have put there, but I didn't for some reason. But I really believe Pizza is a great addition to our squad. He could be really good in his first season with us.

You don't like Pizza Moos? Why not? I have an idea! Get wasted! ..and the next morning/afternoon call to your local Pizzaplace and order a pizza with salami and garlic +plus whatever you like. I think you will see Pizza in a new 'loving' way. Talking about our new favorite Pizza-rro. He looks to be really good, though I never doubted him. His first header is great. Firing header out of nowhere. Of course those commentators don't give the new Chelsea player that much credit by insisting that the marking was awful. Pizza seems to be a handful for the defenders. Just can't wait to see him beating Carragher/Agger/Ferdinand/Vidic & Co in the air next campaign.
  15. That is close to a dream team, on paper. It is harder and harder to keep such a puzzle in one piece. Not sure if Rijkaard is up to it. Well, we just have to wait and see...in horror.
  16. Capello seems to be really straight shooting type. Real Madrid is old and most of all traditional club with traditional hierarchy. They do things and see things the way they've always done. Maybe they(cap vs. board) had different views on how Real Madrid should play. When big egos like Capello and Mijatovic clash it isn't pretty. Capello is oldschool Italian type of coach. Plays through defence. Plays winning football with "1-0 is enough" in mind. The board has its own view on how Real Madrid game looks like. It should define the beautiful game and still be winning... ..well Capello just delivered the other. I really actually expected this to happen. They got the domestic championship. People again recognize Real Madrid as a major club. They have really good base again to start the next season BUT they don't see Capello giving them entertainment, flair and drama in the future. That is why he is out. And I don't see Mijatovic the most diplomatic person in the world. When he still played he seemed like he could start a fight in an empty locker room...Having said that I really miss those kind of players. You never know what is going to happen in the pitch.
  17. So you don't think having superstars like Ballack and Sheva had something to do with the changes to our formation? I understand the problem with the wingplay and I personally favour some sort of combination between 4-3-3 and more traditional formations like Barcelona is playing. Ronnie and Messi are not playing pure wing. They more than often cut to center really early on the attack and in my books that is not pure wingplay. Ok it is barcelona and they have huge talent on that section, but still. If you think Didi's whining is a reason for changing the formation you dont give much credit to JM. There are probably numerous of reasons why JM changed it but Didi's whining can't be a major one. And I really think JM believes his own visions how the game works and don't change it because "People had largely 'sussed' 4-3-3". We won Barcelona home 4-2 with 4-3-3 if I remember correctly(please correct if I wrong). Plus two EPL championships. One scenario could be: Didi was unhappy because his talent was not in full use with 4-3-3. Mourinho notices. Getting Ballack comes reality. Mourinho thinks: We could change to 4-2-2 with Ballack and Didi would be happy as well. Ballack comes. We need another striker, says JM! Roman hears about it and calls JM: I'll buy Sheva, I like him he is from the east as I am. He's huge hit here in Russia. Do you want him?..doesn't matter I already bought him. Enjoy.
  18. Good post Dorset! I'm more in the side of Haves. Past season we were really close of winning the EPL and advancing to CL final. We didn't because: 1.injuries to key players 2.changed to 4-2-2 from wingplay 3.jose had huge pressure of fitting superstars ballack and sheva in to the starting 11. 4.ManU found their flow right from the beginning of the season. I mean everything just clicked. 5.at the time we faced Liverpool in the CL number of our players were fatiqued and all the pressure of winning the EPL was still in the heads of our players. Liverpool could just concentrate on those two games. still it was really close. This is why I don't think we need new key players or huge buys. That is why I'm with the Haves.
  19. Gus could play a role in some Guy Ritchie movie. He looks like the average hitman! And he probably can't act either.
  20. That picture of the new steward outfit color kit with JT, Ballsie and DoubleD looks little bit camp, don't you think. Sort of neon-80's style futuristic theme. They could be the worst enemies of Ultraviolet in the sequal. They tried to make it real cool, but I think its over the top. Yeah, that Flash-site is crap. Takes lot of time to load and the text is kind of choppy. I prefer the old one. I used to visit that site on regular basis. Now I rarely go there.

Best Player: Essien Worst Player (in 24 man first team squad): This is kind of hard, but have to go with Boulahrouz Best Signing: Mikel Worst Signing: Boulahrouz Most exciting signing: Sheva Least exciting signing: Boulahrouz Biggest (positive) suprise: Mikel Biggest disappointment: Sheva Most frustrating player: Sheva Biggest underperformer: Sheva Biggest outperformer: Drogba Mourinho lover: Drogba Mourinho hater: Always injured, but still have to go with Robben since we didn't have pure wingplay anymore Bravery award: Essien Best attacker: Drogba Best midfielder: Lampard Best defender: Carvalho Biggest hot-head: There are no real hot-heads. That word reminds me of Wise. Ashley Cole. Player you'd most like to sell: Boulahrouz Player you'd least like to sell: Cech Best free kick taker: Drogba Best distributer (passing): Lampard Biggest improver: Drogba Biggest decliner: No big changes here, but i'd say Makelele. Luckiest player: Drogba Unluckiest player: Cech Most exciting player: Drogba Least exciting player: Ashley Cole Most consistant performer: Essien Least consistant player: We have no inconsistant players. Jose don't like 'em...Ashley Cole. Club-man award: Drogba Most selfish player: Robben *Favourite personality: Cech *Least favourite personality: This is hard, but have to go with Mikel Rising from the ashes: Kalou? Most promising player: Mikel Player who rose to the occasion: Essien (Arse home 1-1, Valencia away winning goal..was great CD when needed) Player you missed the most(from the 24-man squad): Terry, when injured ..im out.
  22. I agree, since Zola is my all time favourite and indeed I can see similar aspects in Tevez' playing. But if we are not going to buy him and he goes off to Inter we still have J.Cole fully fit and we can hope that some higher power helps with Robbens glass-made ankles. It's not the same as Zola-Tevez world but can be at its best something to look at and produce more goals. Goalwise, last season was a disappointent!
  23. Well, you know Drogs. He isn't the most diplomatic person. He talks when he feels like it. He doesn't mean bad but doesn't really think that much before saying(remember the diving incident). I think he might use his status to make his point clear to the owners(Roman): Lack of ambition might mean; a) Pay Lamps and Terry what they deserve or :) Buy new high profile player(s) coz your rivals are doing it. I sounds a bit childish, but in the case of Drogs I could understand it. His aim is to do what is best for the team. He does it in the pitch always so why not in the press. Then again it can mean anything and probably he's never even said any of those things...
