  1. Have to be thankful our board stepped in to steer us away from "our season going off course and away from our goals" and got rid of our CL and FA cup winning legend...
  2. Drogba, Ballack, Essien, Ricky and Maka, all leaders we have lost who showed real affection towards our club and our fans who we have not really replaced, add to that JT, Lamps and Cole not being involved means we had no leadership out there at all, and a general lack of it in our current squad.
  3. And we used to be a united team who would get on the back of the ref as well, much to the media's dismay. Not we are a team without leaders or a direction.
  4. Swap the Spurs and Villa results and that is what my pessimistic thoughts are right now. But do we do enough to go through against Basel? imo no.
  5. So this weekend could have gone better for us...that much is abundantly clear. 5 League games left this season to save it for us and who is it we have left to face? 25 Thu 20:05 Basel A Europa 28 Sun 15:00 Swansea City H PREM 2 Thu 20:05 Basel H Europa 5 Sun 16:00 Man Utd A PREM 8 Wed 19:45 Tottenham H PREM 11 Sat 12:45 Aston Villa A PREM 19 Sun 16:00 Everton H PREM Take out the Europa games and looking at the league where do the points come from that get us top 4? Swansea? Yeah that really should be 3 points if not then do we honestly even deserve to be near the CL spots? United at OT? Yeah right... Spurs at home? Make or break but even if we are doing well can we make it count for 90 mins? Villa at Villa Park? Not our favorite ground and they may be desperate still when we face them. Everton at home? Oh dear them again... Pessimistic expectation 5 points. Logically thinking 8 points. Hopeful wishing 11 points. Only the latter of those would likely get us a CL spot. So what is the general mood of our shed end? Will we make top four or will the Gooners and Spuds have true bragging rights over us this season?
  6. And our remaining games: 25 Thu 20:05 Basel A Europa 28 Sun 15:00 Swansea City H PREM 2 Thu 20:05 Basel H Europa 5 Sun 16:00 Man Utd A PREM 8 Wed 19:45 Tottenham H PREM 11 Sat 12:45 Aston Villa A PREM 19 Sun 16:00 Everton H PREM Take out the Europa games and looking at the league where do the points come from that get us top 4? 7. Sun 15:00 Sunderland H 2-1 W PREM 11 Thu 17:00 Rubin Kazan A 3-2 L UEFA 14 Sun 16:00 Manchester City N 1-2 L FACP 17 Wed 20:00 Fulham A 0-3 W PREM 21 Sun 16:00 Liverpool A 2-2 D PREM Our recent form. The spoils often go to the side in form and we are lacking at the mo compared to the Arsenal and Spurs.
  8. Nonsense Mr. Friend did his job perfectly, just as Mr. Benitez. Give us one pen to look fair, deny multiple other things and play to Liverpool score and screw us. Nice bonus from the FA coming his way, and a good job by "agent Rafa" as he is know by some Kopities.
  9. Was just reading on to page 31 and poof it was gone.
  10. Also way to defend your title to the bitter end City, top class.
  11. You got to be kidding me, last I looked city led 0-1 and now Spurs are up 3-1? After Sidwell doing his best to screw us over, and succeeding, yesterday now City cannot be bothered after they put the effort in to dump us out of our cup? I did not think the nightmare weekend is possible, now I do not see any other outcome...
  12. Surprising, good to see everything coming together for a change. Wonder goal by Luiz, two good headers from JT. 3 points was what was needed and we got them. Now if we can do the same at Anfield things start to look a bit more brighter for our top 4 prospects.
  13. I would say if we are to make the top four getting at least 7 points from our run of the next 3 games (Fulham and Liverpool away, Swansea at home) is imperative. Anything less and the remaining games after that will make it a very daunting task to get CL football next season.
  14. Yeah that is sad, and might explain why we are where we are at the mo.
  15. I like that side for this game. Think that will be Liverpool. The first choice players would have a whole week to rest after Fulham, no reason to rest them here.
  16. If you want to spend a lot then I'd say Modric and Fellaini since they have premier league experience and I have seen more of them than the others. But I would be happy enough having Ramires, Oscar, Chalobah and De Bruyne as our main 4 options for the deeper positions next season, with Luiz able to move further forward if needed. Though if we can add one more physical midfielder for a decent price to that list might be better.
  17. Having had a little time to allow the disappointment to settle I can at least say we put on a good defense of our FA cup. League winners elect United beaten after going 2-0 behind to them at their place. Last seasons Champions pushed to the end despite them dominating 2/3rds of the match. Hopefully we can push on in the Europa and League, but I have my doubts.
  18. GK US>City DEF City>US DEEP MID City>US ATT MID Draw FORWARDS City>US Just my opinion. In a one off game City are the best in our league for me but this season have struggled to find the motivation to keep up with a focused United.
  19. 6 City players in good positions when we had only 5 back to help. That is very poor defensive play by the whole team.
  20. Sadly yes. Had this gone different Rafa could have been rightly proud of how it all panned out but the United result is meaningless. Those lost 3 points at Soton may prove very costly.
  21. Hate to say this but if you want the pen there you have to fall down. Though Foy probably would still not give it but no way would WE get a pen like that.
  22. I'd like to see how Roman could explain keeping him if we finish as runners up in the Europa and out of the top 4. A Bruce Buck speech about how we have improved even though we finish in a crap position would prove to be rather funny.
  23. And so endith the busy period brought on by our replay with United. Soton L United W Rubin W Sunderland W Rubin L City L About the average for Rafas time in charge I would say. Failure again.
  24. Actually could see that happening. Or losing the final. This has been a nearly season. CS runner up, Super cup Runners up, World Club Cup Runners up. Champions League nowhere near, Premier League nowhere near, League Cup Semi's, FA cup semis. Europa League? Top 4? Semi's or final do not expect us to win the europa with how the season has been, and with the way our players are shooting their mouths off about the top four can see us in 5th or 6th again.
