Arsenals Saliba has been talking up their chances of winning the quadruple. Stating his belief they can do it. He has already discounted our chances against Arsenal in the league cup, saying Arsenal have "3 games left in the competition".

I might be wrong but I think you can only play for 2 different teams in a season. So Guius options are stay with us or go back to Sunderland. Either way he is not playing much until next season.

There is enough evidence there for them do so already. You can be 100% certain that, if they became available, both of them, and Reece James, would be wanted by the best clubs in Europe. On the player in general he has a 60mill release clause which can be activated from January 1st to 15th. Would make sense for Liverpool to move for him after Isaks injury. Arsenal, Spurs, City and United have all inquired as well to know the conditions for the release clause. After signing Garnacho and Gittens, as well as having Quenda coming next season, I don't see us making a move even if we have the budget. The directors and owners will want space for Quenda and will want Maresca to use Garnacho and Gittens more.

Not seen one on Reece. Is not the shoulder on shoulder part, is his right leg going in to Gordon trying to get the ball but not getting it and getting the man instead. I'd want a pen for us had that happened to Garnacho at the other end.

Having now got around to the seeing some extended highlights of the Newcastle game am not sure how VAR did not award a pen against trev for that charge tackle on Gordon. leg went across him and made no contact with the ball. Clean and obvious error imo, stonewall pen and very poor from trev.

In terms of this season vs last seasons wide attacker/winger options we went from: 1 outstanding option in Cole Palmer 3 decent/average options in Jadon Sancho, Noni Madueke and Pedro Neto. To 1 outstanding option in Cole Palmer 1 excellent but raw option in Estevao 1 decent option in Pedro Neto 1 decent/garbage option in Alejandro Garnacho, depending whether he is a sub (decent) or starter (garbage). 1 complete waste of space and investment Jamie Gittens. So for Starters we have increased our quality but for overall depth we have more options but the quality is way worse, imo.
