Posted August 3, 2024Aug 3 A few media stories going round that we are very interested in Oscar Bobb. I would take him in a heartbeat but cannot see Citeh repeating the same mistake they did in letting Palmer leave. Plus they have him tied down to a long term deal. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1931473/Chelsea-Man-City-transfer-news-Oscar-Bobb-Cole-Palmer

August 3, 2024Aug 3 He's quality but I'm not sure if he's the sort of player we need at the minute, would rather we focus on getting a top striker in. That being said he's very good and is pretty versatile.

They have an ageing squad and they win most games so it's easy for them to chuck kids on for a few minutes or fill a vacancy. Despite this, we've produced more key players (Mount, Gallagher, James vs just Foden) than them in the last 5 years. and way more useful 'squad' players (Abraham, Chalobah, Gilchrist, Hudson-Odoi, Hall) than them too. Their academy is also primarily run for profit, they will happily sell Palmer or Bobb or even Phil Foden if it means financing the likes of Ruben Dias or Erling Haaland. They ultimately have the same "problem" as us in that respect. Edited August 5, 2024Aug 5 by SydneyChelsea
August 16, 2024Aug 16 Oscar Bobb is facing up to four months on the sidelines after fracturing a leg in a non-contact incident in training on Wednesday. Can we still put in a cheeky bid for him? He totally fits our criteria now.

Hope he makes a speedy and full recovery.
