Surprised nobody wants Mikel at all, he might not be top quality but he's still a player who can do a job, although we were parking the bus he still was able to go toe-to-toe with Schwienstiger for heaven's sake! Somebody must be interested just not for the right price.

Just under £30 million for Lukaku plus extraneous sales (Marin, Moses etc) would mean we could easily afford a very good second striker like Bony or perhaps someone even better.

All the threads I've seen on him so far have been locked so thought its best to start up another one now he's back from loan. Apparently he's signed a new 3 year contract today, replacing Mikel perhaps? I haven't seen anything of him on loan at Valencia, any La Liga afficionados know more?
