Suarez on the other hand has been banned for 34 games since 2010, never once receiving a red.So what I'm getting at is if he did the exact same things in the PL, unseen incidents included, he would have missed many more games.

Either you're underestimating Atsu or overestimating Markovic. Markovic is a talent but he's behind the likes of Sterling and Januzaj in terms of ability. And it can be argued that he's no more developed than our own T.Hazard/Atsu/Piazon/Traore. It would be a complete waste of money seeing as he's not close to a level that would challenge for a starting spot here.

Agreed. Although I'd like to see Costa share the penalty duties. And certainly take any early season ones.
