Not watched the game yet and probably won’t tonight I’ll save for the morning before my Sunday preys 😂 1. talk of replacing Poch is ludicrous 2. Inconsistency is typical of a club up and coming that have bought in a load of youngsters, it reminds me very much of Citeh and The dippers when their managers first come in 3. we need a long term replacement for Silva, he is probably our best player still but at 39, that’s not acceptable 3. We will finish mid table, if you haven’t lowered your expectations for this season some months ago then more for you. KTBFFH

Chelsea vs Manchester City (PL) Sun 12th Nov 23 16:30 GMT
One of my rare jaunts to The Bridge today, was treated to an excellent match of course but I am still seething, just watched MOTD and my opinion not changed. I think our fears about Taylor continue, how can a 50:50 in the box result in favouring the attacking team. Wrong on every level unless you change the rules that aside, we have switched we are now great going forward and crap at the back. i love Silva as much as the next Chelsea fan and overall had a fine game, but I think we have to face facts the age is catching up with him at times - just to reiterate I think he had a good game. We need his replacement. I think I would like a journey man to compliment the youngsters at the back Sterling and Palmer are something special and why they snubbed by Southgate is bizarre - compare them to Grealish, Foden et al we got to be impressed on how far we come overall with Poch ! I still feel a lot of ups and downs but direction feels good, we are still a very young team. anyway ark at me, headache, knackered, still tipsy with a tad of tinnitus - enjoyed my first big day at Mecca for some time. Bring on Newcastle let’s take them on! KTBFFH

They have like always shown a bit of vulnerability we are getting back on track, although it feels like two steps forward one back. However I think that this will be a little step too far so I am not going to read too much into the result either way, as long as we play well.

MOTM vs Tottenham (A) (PL)
Tough one this, I don’t think we were great. I didn’t think much of Palmer today, although his still my player of the season so far. I think Sterling is massively underrated, he makes things happen for me. Nearly went for him today though Conor ran his socks off broke up play some great passes seamed to be the only one who knew what to do against team of 9 playing a high press 😂

Great half for the neutral ! this will be a test of Poch’s management, get them in, calm them down and then go out and rip them a new one !

As with the Arsenal game we are by miles the better team. Forget the Brentford debacle whatever the result here it is 2 steps forward 1 back - I believe, which is the first time since TT

Our Legend Coco
So shocked by this news RIP old mate !

The news coming out of Everton should leave all Chelsea fans concerned.
I have two comments to make on this, the first one is pretty spurious and slightly tongue in cheek; If we are going to have a 12 point deduction can we have them now please, get it out the way. on a more serious note, I think you have to look at what FFP is all about. It’s a badly named directive as it is not about a club who comes into money and buy up all the best players so they win things. I.e. it’s not “fair” on other clubs who don’t have not been fortunate enough to have that level of investment. FFP came in was because of the likes of Portsmouth, who spent a fortune on players that they couldn’t afford leading to the club going into administration. That’s why the likes of Citeh and us get away with murder in the transfer market because we have an appropriate level of debt/profit/assets (I won’t bore you with financial gearing) to sustain such huge investments. I have not looked at our financials lately however if it is correct what the press say that Roman effectively wrote off £2B debt as a parting gift to the club, meaning Boehly and co have made a very wise investment buying and essentially debt free club, if you remember rightly there were a number of parties fighting to buy us. The outcome of this is we have been able to run riot in the transfer market and not fall foul of FFP thanks to our old mate Roman - as if we needed another reason to love him.

Burnley v Chelsea (PL) Sat 7th Oct 23 15:00 GMT
Maybe coincidence, I pointed it out in the Fulham game. Our possession stats are right down as we improved over the first half. Same against Fulham although our possesion was down all game and arguable our best match. interesting either like a few said we are messing about at the back too much or we are better as a counter attacking team maybe ? Be interesting to see what we do against tougher opposition its a tough one because I am not sure Poch wants to say “have less of the ball” shame Utd got lucky there ! Still onwards and upwards, great to go into the international break with 3 in a row 🥳 .

VAR - Has a line been crossed?
I think VAR has been generally a good, my gut feel is a lot more decisions have been correct than wrong. I personally don’t like the offside when there is a stray pubic hair, however they can’t really go back to attacker benefit of the doubt as it brings back in subjectivity I also think it was wrong of PGMOL to apologise to Liverpool and release the audio. I am involved in grass roots football and we are desperately trying to get the players, coaches and parents to accept mistakes will happen and it is never right to question the referee even if they are wrong. There is a huge issue getting youngsters into ref’ing because of the abuse they get. That should start at the top level of the game, refs will make mistakes, even video assisted referees. Therefore Klopp and Liverpool need to draw a line under this and pipe down. If they get what they want it could open the flood gates in a bad way Also like many have pointed out. We seen worse decisions every week why are Liverpool so special.
