I am sad to see him go, enormous amount of effort. Agree with Just above.... if Kova had anywhere near the shooting boots of Essien he would have been one hell of a player, but his end product was woeful at times. The odd occasion it came off it was great. His consistency was awful but frankly that can be said of all most of our first team players All the best Kova, except against us!

I do agree with that. The major change in tactics and it is a deliberate FA guideline down to grass roots level (which I am involved in) is playing out from the back. Which to me you have to have the ball playing modern defenders to be able to do that. Personally I have too many heart in mouth moments watching it ! Essentially you are right, how many teams resort to a punt down the field needing a goal in the last 5 mins.

good post, exactly the point. I hate posting "back in the day" type posts but for me it only seems like yesterday that I was throwing my pocket money into the plastic bucket out side Stamford bridge to pay the players wages. A few years later we were nearly relegated to the old 3rd division, 1982, I was 12 years old. my nostalgic memory (I wasn't at the game) but I was as happy as when we won the title at Bolton or the champions league in Munich. I for one was very lucky to be a season ticket holder for most of the Roman era and I had to pinch myself at times. we were extremely lucky. The chant that the scousers came up with in particular, "you got no history" and in countless pundits and phone in's "not a big club" - both are kind of true in the grand scheme of things (history thing debatable) but I was in fact proud that we were say a medium sized club upsetting the apple cart. Forward to now, there is no way Todd, the management the players are completely incompetent and accepting this relative failure lightly, I would imagine behind the scenes it is quite toxic but with a hint of optimism for next season - at least I hope so. All in all, we can't expect another Roman Era, but do expect the club to improve it might be slowly but I am sure it will. in the mean time, our trophy cabinet is over flowing, Get on a tour of the bridge and remind yourselves how lucky we were. KTBFFH

Night night all, it was fun... again.... Bring on Bournemouth !

I live in hope that we will put in a performance before the league was over, in reality I never expected it to be at The Emirates However this result would have ruined or even my season in the past, I am not really bothered. I will continue to support and defend the team for the rest of the season and who knows. But tonight's result means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Who knows, we might have a game of two halves 🙂

Whoever they chose and I suppose Pochettino is not a bad choice, we will have to be behind them. Its challenging we have had most of the best managers in Europe at the club already and let them go for whatever reason. I can't see any longevity in any appointment and for that reason I don't really have an outstanding choice,
