  1. LBB I didn't bring religion into any debate, I am merely asking a question as I am sick of listening to Chels being anti Irish when I have heard nothing like it myself. And anyone that has a dislike for people based on their colour creed or location is narrow minded no matter where they hail from.
  2. cheers emerald. Ah I am on and off this site for years.
  3. I am an Irish Chelsea supporter since I was 4 in 1976. Going to games home and away every season since the early 90's. Being Irish you have to listen to the usual clichéd rubbish usually from Spurs fans I know, that Chelsea are anti Irish blah blah blah. I have never experienced anything in all my times travelling to Chelsea games. Seen a few stalls outside selling "No Surrender t shirts". But I get that! Don't know what relevance it has to football, but I get it! There is a permanent Dundalk Irish (my hometown) supporters club flag in residence in the East stand at every home game. So would Chelsea fans think there is an anti Irish sentiment or is it merely propaganda from a very small narrow minded element of Northern Irish fans?
  4. Slightly off topic, but at a children's party so not even access to tv. Is there any link or way I can watch match on my android phone. Usual frontrow sports won't work as I need Flash player and don't think I can get it on an android phone. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  5. Went to cinema against my better judgement. God damn awful movie. Embarrassing movie.
  6. For me being a teenager at that time, for me miami vice was and still is the coolest show ever made. Fantastic 80's soundtrack and don johnson was cool as sonny Crockett. Back then I had the hairstyle but I doubt the pastel coloured suits and t shirts with slip on shoes minus the socks would have been a hit!! I havve the boxset and watch it a bit...
  7. Well I am irish and find it embarrassingly cringeworthy. It is cheap stereotypical laughs. I actually think for some strange reason it is more popular in the uk than in ireland. Remember it is commissioned by the bbc not rte (the irish national broadcaster). Fair f**ks to brendan o'carroll he hadn't a pot to piss in was broke and then got his massive success story with mrs. Browne. But while it has its moments it's not really for me.
  8. Can't pick just one. But the deerhunter probably my fav. Then godfather 1 and 2 goodfellas and planet of the apes the original movie. John cazale who played fredo corleone in the godfather (he got shot in the boat) was also in godfather 2 and in archive footage in godfather 3 and was in the deerhunter. His only other 2 movies before his untimely death in 78 just after his final scenes in the deerhunter were the conversation and dog day afternoon. He thus holds a record as being the only actor that every movie he acted in, has been nominated for an oscar as best movie. Also the sergio leone spaghetti western trilogy with clint. A fistful of dollars, for a few dollars more and the good the bad and the ugly.
  9. You are a grade one idiot and give us irish people a bad name.... I am more irish than you and supporting chelsea all my life. Clueless idiotic post
  10. Terry butcher john barnes and gary bailey all english internationals who weren't born in england.
  11. Yes but 4 yrs previously dundalk narrowly lost to celtic in the qtr finals of european cup. And also livwrpool were the only team to beat dundalk at home in over 5 yrs of european football. Celtic, porto, spurs, to name but a few couldn't beat us.. aldridge though is a horrible scouse prick
  12. The main executive says he is dead that they wanted to have him nlow the bomb up in season 1 but were asked to keep brody in the show but that he is dead this time around but journalists are also saying we didn't see a body etc so he might reappear
  13. We didn't see brody's body but he was being hanged from a massive crane wasn't he? My original thoughts were wait we didn't see his body he is alive. But I think I have since read he is dead.
  14. spoiler alert** but i dont think homeland will be the same without brody in it. i dont like carrie's character in it. too clingy and needy to be a realistic cia op. oh and saul was also in the first series of criminal minds.
  15. Am astonished that uefa gave the go ahead for 4 sets of supporters being in madrid at the same time.
  16. We actually scored a better goal than that on the night but that was a great team goal as it consisted of 36 passes and all 10 outfield players touched the ball at some point during the build up.
  17. Here is a goal from last weekend in the league of ireland.the top 2 teams in the league from last season. Bear in mind that while they will both be competing in europe the league is not full time professional players. I am biased as it is my hometown team scoring the goal but I think it is an excellent goal. Dundalk 36 passes, wonder-goal - v St Pats (Norma…:
  18. Yes but it could open up a whole can of worms if he does play. Conflict of interests playing against his parent club etc. Imagine a dodgy decision he drops a clanger etc.. media and uefa would have a feeding frenzy if that were the case.
  19. I am irish from the republic. I have no interest in rangers or celtic. In ireland north and south celtic or rangers are supported for 1 reason. Religion. I don't roll like that I wasn't brought up like that so have no interest in it. There is due to northern irish fans a link between the blues brothers of chels, linfield and rangers. I am a chels member and been to the bridge many games a season. I have never had any hassle for my nationality nor should I. We are all accepted as chels fans irrespective. As it should be. I remember being at highbury in 97 for the 3-3 all draw. Bought a t shirt with ruud's head on the chels lion. Put it on and on back said no surrender so couldn't wear that back home for obvious reasons. Went to exchange it and guy goes yeah ok not many catholic irish support chels do they... i'm thinking what the hell does religion have to do with anything. But as i say so what if people support or have a soft spot for a 2nd team. Rangers don't bother me in the slightest. Scally's are a different story. The only thing that would piss me off is the billy boys song as it is anti irish imho but that would be all.
  20. I too found stepbrothers humourless. Cpl of witty parts but for most part a very unfunny film. Just rewatching midnight express. Good but not as good ad I had remembered. Just saw that the lead actor actually died in early 90's.
  21. I actually think judas townsend is a prick... seems so anti chels all the time.
  22. The tempo seems off and we are allowing psg to control it tempo wise. Quitely confident. Next goal vital. If they score it it will be tough to come back from but if we score next and they pulled one back I still think we would get the third.
  23. I am wearing the jersey we won in munich with. I only wear it for big games and we have never lost when I wear it... fingers crossed...
