  1. LOL. Yeah, how could I dare to give my opinion on a football discussion forum. It's just unforgivable.
  2. Underestimating Leverkusen is not a good idea. My team would be: ------------Cech-------------- --Ivan--Alex--Terry--Cole-- -----Meireles---Mikel-------- ----Studge--Josh--Mata---- ----------Anelka-------------- With Romeu, Torres and Bertrand coming from the bench. And with Lampard watching from the stands where he belongs.
  3. Lamps is not the same player he once was. The sooner people accept it the sooner we can move on and start building a team that can actually challenge Man Utd. It means 'two easter eggs'.
  4. Mercy-killing for Lamps please. Let's put him out of his misery.
  5. Bertrand is also technically an Under 21, as he was 21 on January 1st which is when you take into account these things according to the rules. So that leaves us with only 5 homegrown.
  6. I certainly would sell all of Malouda, Anelka, Kalou before selling Yossi. Don't like this at all.
  7. Agreed. There are already signs, not huge I admit, that Terry is starting his decline as a top player. He's still good enough but I can't help but feel that the Terry-Lampard era is coming to its end sooner rather than later. It's not only part of the nature of the game but also a neccesity as it gives pass to a new generation of players.
  8. Pathetic. People here need to stop acting like children, fssssss.
  9. Benayoun should have started in place of Lampard. Lampard is not the same player he once was, sadly. Kalou is rubbish. Malouda is not rubbish but frustrating and ineffectual. People are going way over the top when speaking about Ramires. He is a good player, sure, but not a star-in-the-making by a long shot. He is more of a complementary player in my view. Anelka is OK but nothing special. Cech needs to learn how to kick the ball. Bosingwa good. Cole good. Mikel good. Torres great. Terry and Alex also good. McEachran should have played at least the last 15 minutes. Oh, and Drogba looks on the way down too.
  10. ----------------Cech--------------- -Boz------Iva---------JT-----Ash- ------Mikel/Ram----Josh-------- -Kalou--------Yossi---------Flo-- --------------- Torres-------------- Subs: Turnbull, Alex, PVA, Lamps, Mikel/Ram, Anelka, Drogba
  11. Van Aanholt definitely. More of an attacking threat than Ryan.
  12. I agree, I can't bring myself to hate United. On the other hand, Liverpool, well I just can hate them enough. Their deluded fans, their constant appeals to 'history', their self righteous way of been. I mean, how can you not hate Liverpool? So to conclude my list is (in no particular order): Arsenal, Leeds, West Ham, Barcelona, Liverpool.
  13. I've seen him play an the boy is quality. Nevermind the spiteful press.
  14. Pffff, my grandma is better than Anelka at this moment.

  16. AVB worked together with Brendan Rogers at Chelsea. :P
  17. The guy has a detailed knowledge of every team and ground we played under Mourinho. He probably knows more about english football than a lot of current premier league managers.
  18. Players don't necessarily need to be english to qualify as homegrown. Quality is more important than nationality.
  19. He's already in his tracksuit ready to coach:
