Gem Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Just a quick message: f**k any of you (not us, but journos/opposition fans/pundits) who says he is not interested in us anymore. Like a kid at Christmas today, kicked every ball, clapped and smiled throughout, cheered when we scored... Seriously, these people who think otherwise, clearly just need a pint of bitter, and to f**k the hell off. Ahhh, 'nuff said. Ol Hicks and Gillet Shaves wish they had an 8th the passion Roman has for their sh*tehole of a club. PS- thank god my new mac has spell check for the internet, spelt a lot of words wrong haha, I blame the bulmers.
goose Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Was just watching the match there Gem and thinking the same thing. Loads of passion there and desire for CFC. I can understand why the spending had to be cut down but his body language would say he's there for the long haul.
coco Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Anybody else enjoy seeing Roman go through the emotional rollercoaster at Watford ? Makes me rip when you see him slipping down the seat trying to kick the ball, and when we get a cross into the box and he trys to head them in from the directors box -head going like a chicken. I'm just the same myself
Gem Posted February 14, 2009 Author Posted February 14, 2009 (edited) Totally agree goose and it wasn't just on the ITV highlights - but on the setanta coverage, throughout they were showing him constantly, he would have got his head on half of those 49 corners we had. It looked like he had a ball, gets more into it than anyone..! Edited February 14, 2009 by Gem
geezer Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Best bit for me was when he showed emotion for the umpteenth time, turned to Guus, saw his poker face, turned away and just raised his eyebrows as if to say 'oh well, whatever' and got back to enjoying the game. Brilliant.
kalpitv Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I saw more of Hiddink and Abramovich during the match than Wilkins on TV. Abramovich had got himself totally involved, but Hiddink, throughout the game, remained unimpressed.

Brilliant. i loved that bit too, i was laughing my arse off at it.. kalpitv, i dont think he was unimpressed, it looked to me like he was taking everything in and was very focussed on the players.
icecoolguy22 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 From what I saw, with the Camera on him all match, Roman still had fun. He looked like a genuine Chelsea fan, there was lows and high towards the end, he had a few laugh along the way. The one I remembered was when Ballack missed the sitter, Roman's hands were up like the rest of the Chelsea fans in the stadium, then the reluctant smile. I bet he is not keen to renew contract with Ballack right now Plenety of rubbish been written about Roman's appearance in the match, I rather see him at every game than hiding on his yacht. Hiddink was not happy at all, and it's good to see.
abramovich Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Roman and Hiddink in the stands at Watford game. http://www.mediafire.com/?mjz5nlomoew
g3.7 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I'd like to see roman and guus star in a buddy movie, where they have to travel across the former soviet union in a volkswagon motorhome, armed only with a cricket bat and half a packet of sugar free polos; guus, the chief of police, is world weary and only weeks away from retirement, roman, a valuable witness for a mob trial, is young, naive, but full of life. by the end they've taught each other valuable life lessons.
TheWestwayWonder Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 well said, Gem. After all the rumors, that is going to give the media trash merchants something to chew on. Its like watching a mirror when he's like that, except I dress nicer than Roman, and my gf doesnt look like Guus (thank god)
BLUENUT Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 If you didn't know who they were you'd think it was an old father taking his excitable, but wally of a son, to his first match. That's just how it came acrtoss to me.
TheWestwayWonder Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Oh, and speaking of our Roman http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...sea/7892988.stm Abramovich 'suffers £6.3bn loss'Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has seen his wealth reduced by about $9bn (£6.3bn) in the financial crisis, according to a business magazine. Abramovich held on to second place among Russia's wealthiest, according to Finans magazine, but his $23bn value is now down to $13.9bn. I feel very sorry for him if this is true, but I cannot accurately describe my relief. All these people talking as if he had lost all but 2 billion (which, in my mind, would have spelled selling the club sooner or later) had it all wrong, and the man still has plenty of money to take us forward. I would rather tighten belts around the club and spend responsibly or sparingly (rather than not at all) if it means we wont be bounced around by a bunch of money grubbing consortiums or investors like LFC and others are. Roman is a fan, first
BLUENUT Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I feel very sorry for him if this is true, Yeah my heart bleeds. He's only got 13.9 bn -_-
Makelele Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Yeah my heart bleeds. He's only got 13.9 bn :D and that 14 bn is what is actually on paper legally...im sure he has another 20 billion buried on one of his many properties or hidden on one of his many boats
dkw Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 and that 14 bn is what is actually on paper legally...im sure he has another 20 billion buried on one of his many properties or hidden on one of his many boats it will probably be where he least expects to find it, well that was where my house keys were...
MHedges Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Does anyone have video's of this funny Roman behavior? Kicking, heading, etc. Sounds great!
coco Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Does anyone have video's of this funny Roman behavior? Kicking, heading, etc. Sounds great! Try the 4the video in this package, f**king hilarious ! ;) :D :D http://www.mediafire.com/?mjz5nlomoew
TheWestwayWonder Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Yeah my heart bleeds. He's only got 13.9 bn ;) yeah, hes still way better off than the rest of us, but most of this stuff is on paper and there is a long way to go yet for the financial crisis. Im sorry for his luck, but I am a whole hell of alot happier than when people said he had lost all but 2bn and was going to have to sell the club.
dkw Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 as usual its all misleading and hyperbole from the media. he hasnt had £6b of his personal fortune wiped, hes lost it from shares. therefore its only a loss if he sells those shares now, if he hangs onto them ( and seeing as though he still has around £13b i doubt he needs to liquidate assets in a hurry) then theres every chance he1`ll recoup that `money`.

Not really as bad as the media outlets were hoping for/initially reporting
