Boyne: Cheers for posting that.

@erskblue You're welcome. I've a couple of his albums. He has a great voice. Reminds me a bit of Sam Cooke. Years ago James Hunter was in a band called Howlin' Wilf and the Vee-Jays who I saw a few times. Will post one of their songs.

A brilliant musician. Just my humble opinion.

Agreed. Wrote some classics. Begs the question: what would have done if he hadn't died at such a young age.

Here's a song by Howlin' Wilf and the Vee-Jays.

Boyne:I’ve only realised in the last 18 months or some, who Robert Johnston was and just how good a musician he actually was.
Same with ‘Big’ Bill Broonzy and TJ Walker.

There are some documentaries on bbc iplayer, bbc archive and YouTube, which have added to my enjoyment and knowledge of these great musicians.

I was introduced to Robert Johnson by someone I worked with back in the early nineties. Some of old blues musicians such as those you mentioned paved the way for so many others and it's great to see many young blues musicians still coming through. Early blues has not just influenced later blues but also jazz, soul and rock.

I've been 'binging' Bosch on Amazon Prime over the last couple of months. An excellent cop show with a great Jazz soundtrack. I used to hate jazz but have started to 'get' it in the last few years, and have been listening to the Bosch OST on Spotify while I work.
