Agree with you. Guys I think is more a problem in midfield rather than up front. Milner would be one of my signings for sure.

I posted this in another thread and thought I should post it heare.

We definatly shouldnt sign more than 3-4 players.

If we will continue with the diamond than we should look to sign Milner from villa because of his versality and he is a very quality player. Another player I would love to see in blue is David Silva. Very effective and has bags of pace and can beat a defender one-on-one. He is prety versatile aswel as he can play on both flanks and behind the strikers. We could also use a quality striker to partner Drogba up front. Aguero, Villa, Pato... spring to mind.

The question is if Roman is ready to make that kind of investment in rebuilding the squad. Because 3 players of that kind of quality would cost around 100m and that isnt really pocket money is it?

I just hope Roman will be patient enough and stick with Carlo for at least another season... I was against Carlo coming here but now he is here we shouldnt just sack him. We desperatly need some stability at the club.

I really cant see where those rumours are coming from. Schweinsteiger failed horribly in any attacking position at Munich. How do we expect him to do well in a much better league?

Fully confident that side with our current defence would be devasting.

yeah but what a problem child..reckon we got off lightly there Alfie me ole mucker.

Depends on what tactics we're using. If we stick with the diamond (which Ancelotti will as soon as he's got a fully fit squad), then it really doesn't matter because we'll win f*ck all with that system, no matter who we buy.

On the other hand, if we get a good manager who preferred 4-4-2 and didn't really give a f*ck what the opposition system was, then I'd go for Aguero and Rodwell. If they're not available, then maybe Veloso and Di Maria.

ps - Ashley Young??? He's clearly taken diving lessons from Ronaldo, the cheating little tw*t, he should never be allowed to wear the sacred blue of Chelsea.

I'd certainly like to see us get Aguero and I'm a massive fan of Milner so would love to see him play for us, plus imagine him playing alongside Essien, talk about a midfield full of energy. Also I'd love it if we could get Villa and David Silva as a pair, that would be fantastic but the chances of that happening would be slim to none.

Good shout on Rodwell BB, he looks like a cracking prospect but we'd have to pay through the nose to get him, as we would with Milner too I suspect.
