Anelka signed 1 year extension

Featured Replies

Nico has signed a one year extension taking him to 2012 with us. Good news, obviously asked for a wage that was more suitable than a certain other player.

Good business, may not have scored the goals he did the previous season - but he holds up play well, has fantastic speed, very rarely loses the ball... Glad he's staying. After the CL final I wanted rid.

Same here, and boy am I glad to be proven wrong.

He doesnt show any signs of slowing down because of his age, but it shows great prudence by the club to extend him by only a year. Great news

Glad to hear it... he worked hard to help Chelsea to the double and even though he was not on the score sheet as often as we might have liked he played a vital part in our success... he also seems settled with the rest of the squad and as far as I am aware he don't give Carlo any lip so no danger of him being left out of the team or being sent home on match days...
