Posted January 11, 201114 yr Odd ? Source : http://www.rossoneriblog.com/report-chelsea-offer-bosingwa-to-milan/ JOSE BOSINGWA has been offered to Milan according to rumours in Italy. According to tuttomercatoweb.com, Chelsea have offered Jose Bosingwa to AC Milan and it appears that if Milan want him, they’ll have to pay €2 million. Milan need more depth and quality in the fullbacks position following the injury of Gianluca Zambrotta and the 28-year-old would give Milan just that. Milan to sign Lazzari or van Bommel? Official: Onyewu joins FC Twente on loan Bosingwa is a right-back and at the moment Ignazio Abate is the preferred option. If Milan would sign a fullback, though, it is believed to be a left-back. The Portuguese joined The Blues in 2008; he played 54 matches and scored two goals.
January 11, 201114 yr I have seen a few people on here recently suggesting Bos should go and i really dont know why. I think he is a much much better full back than Ferreria. Personally i think a back line of cole terry ivan and bos is a very good defense.
January 11, 201114 yr Don't think bos is back to best and I doubt he can get there and I would be ok with him goin as long as ivanovic signs a new deal and is happy to be right back, and also on the condition we sell ferreira and bring in a good young right back like we have on the left with van aanholt. Someone like santon or van der wiel would be perfect. 2m is ridiculous though should around 6-8m
January 11, 201114 yr 2 mill? Jesus, where do they get the idiots who write this sh*t. Considering Munich were apparently willing to pay a hell of a lot more than that in the summer I think that 2 mill figure shows just how much of a crock of sh*t this is.
January 12, 201114 yr What an ubsurd rumour. I can only imagine the 2 million is a laugh, or it's that plus a player?

January 12, 201114 yr what a joke. might not be in the best of form, but before he got injured he was linked with a 15-20m move to Bayern. He's not got that much worse.
January 12, 201114 yr Maybe not so far fetched after all. What hasn't been noted here is that Bosingwa's contract runs out in the summer, and if he doesn't sign a new contract - or if he's not offered a new contract, then we can either sell him on the cheap now or let him go for nothing at the end of the season.

Well we best get onto getting him a new one. He's clearly a very good player, and at his peak easily first choice right back. However, it remains to be seen if he is still capable of that peak after the terrible run with injuries he has had recently. Perhaps we are a little sceptical of that, which would make the lack of a new contract make sense. Barring that this really is poor work at the top again, honestly these guys who have talent should have been resigned last season, that would mean if we did feel the need to move him on we would have got some of our fee back and not incurred a massive loss on the player, who in fairness hasn't perhaps fulfilled his price tag mainly due to injury.
January 13, 201114 yr In my opinion, the only reason we should sell him at cut price is if we have someone lined up to replace him. And NOT Ivanovic, he's already said he'd only sign a new contract if he was guaranteed more first team football at centre back.

From the very beginning. I mean, why would you give just a 3 year contract to a guy who you just signed for £16 million? That was a stupid risk to take and now it could come back to bite us in the arse.
January 13, 201114 yr God, for a time machine to go back to when Bayern Munich were tapping him up and desperate to buy this guy. If they really think we are should sell him for 2 million euros because his contract is up, I would rather keep him and lose him for nothing. What a god damn embarrassing debacle if that happens. But still, it would be another high earner off the bill. Milan have about 15 attackers but are cheap as dirt when it comes to the rest of their squad. We should be able to get at least 5 or 6 from them. But I guess the ball is in their court

Personally i think a back line of cole terry ivan and bos is a very good defense. Nobody wants him gone and for him to be replaced with a 33 year old Paulo. Bossy has been here for three years, on the shelf more than not, and has never really justified the inflated fee we paid for him. Again, I wish we hadve sold him to Bayern when his stock was much higher, and his injuries fewer, and made Ivan our RB, or just gotten a replacement. To lose 90% of a players transfer value just because his contract was allowed to run down would be abominable. Forgot to say, if we lose him, it wont be now unless more players come in first, because we can ill afford to lose another squad player right now.
January 13, 201114 yr I've just come across this from Ariedo Braida, an AC Milan director: We always like great players, Bosingwa is one of course, but right now we are on stand-by," he told the Portuguese press, according to calciomercato.com."Right now there is no interest on our part. In June who knows. What I can say is that he won't join us now, in the summer I don't know." If this is to be believed (source is goal.com but I've only posted actual quotes) then they're not interested in buying Bosingwa, but are prepared to take him in the summer on a free, assuming we don't offer him a contract first. January 14, 201114 yr Well, if thats their bet then so be it. If we had to lose one in the summer I would rather it were Bosingwa than Ivan, who was also linked to Milan.
January 14, 201114 yr Our defence is shaky enough without losing him and Ivan...with no obvious rumours coming up abiut replacements
January 19, 201114 yr Chelsea to extend Jose Bosingwa deal in the summer. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/9366850.stm?
January 19, 201114 yr Chelsea to extend Jose Bosingwa deal in the summer. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/9366850.stm? If the Luiz deal come off & this is true its been a pretty good news day for Chelsea. A striker, or wide right attacker would be nice.
January 19, 201114 yr If we are only extending by a year, clearly we intend to wait and see how he does. I would rather we extended him by a few years, and if another club wants him, look to sell him on. If the club are in a market for a new CB, then clearly Bran's future lies at RB. If thats the case, both Bosingwa and Paulo are surely going to move on soon.
