Peter Osgood of Chelsea leaps over Arsenal keeper Bob Wilson during their match at Stamford Bridge.

Think it's taken during the 29th Aug 1970 match

I remember being at this game. I think Lee Chapman was with Arsenal at the time and got a ton of abuse from some Arsenal fan sitting in the East stand. I also remember seeing a bit of trouble outside which surprised me at the time as it was a testimonial.

Agreed, trouble at a testimonial is rare !

Superb pics. A year earlier a lot of those kids would have been “ baby skins” but not a crop in sight

Some of those lads queuing at the "boys" turnstiles look rather large - was it under 16's in those days?

I enlarged one of the pics and it says photo by and it looks like a foreign name I can't quite make it out even with my reading bins on. Last picture young kid with a tank top on I had one very similar about 73 ha ha. One of my cousins sent my sister a photo of me and my family at a wedding recently from 75 my brother was wearing and talk about different times and there's no polite way of saying it a golliwog shirt.

They were taken by TOMIKOSHI PHOTOGRAPHY - he posted a load of Chelsea photos on Twitter a couple of months ago.  Great pics aren't they.

In those awful years of the early 80's Big Micky Droy and Clive Walker were the only Chelsea players other teams fans knew about, as we weren't on TV very often and not spoken about much (funny, our fans always got the headlines!!). When THAT season arrived both of them got fazed out. Both Chelsea through and through.

Ha ha - I couldn't make it out either!   I just recognised the photos, as a fellow Chelsea fan had alerted me to follow the guy on Twitter, he also posted some great ones of George Best in the 1970's too.

I'd love to see the rest of the Chelsea photos taken by the guy who posted in the early days of this thread, wonder what happened to him?

This is the only Chelsea photo I could find from that guy as I said I'm not on Twitter so there maybe more. There was one picture of Best, Law and Charlton at the Bridge but not appropriate on a Chelsea site I feel even this pic is a little Leeds heavy and comes under the heading Peter Lorimer.
