January 16, 201511 yr The game was hastily arranged, but remember, it wasnt unusual for fa cup replays to be played 3 days after the first match. From memory the crowd was a dissapointing 8/9000. I think you are over egging the rangers contribution as well but they still had about 2500 down although no doubt most of them were "exiles" living down here Might have even been as low as 6000 and I reckon Rangers only had 1000 or so it being a few days later and midweek.
January 16, 201511 yr Renfrew Juniors (My local Scottish non league side which gave us Charlie Cooke) are moving from their home of 103 years Western Park. They are moving west just along the A8 road a couple of hundred metres to a new purpose built ground in the Renfrew Blythswood Industrial Park. It is hoped that the new ground will be completed by the end of February. Wasn't sure where to put this. Oh and Renfrew Juniors also play in Blue That same Charlie Cooke is in Melbourne next week and a few of the Chelsea boys here are lucky enough to be going out to dinner with him Canners next month.....and last night I got about 5 yards from Ray Wilkins (the Jordan coach) who was being interviewed by Jordanian TV after their 5-1 win. Finally some Chelsea royalty making it down here.

January 18, 201511 yr The Mitre 1974 Two minutes walk from my house when I was a kid. Used to drink in there when I was 16, no ID requested in those days. Then graduated to White Horse (before it was known as Sloney Pony) and Jolly Brewers at Parsons Green, then the Durrell Arms, and ended up in the Lord Palmeston on the New Kings Rd, when the ex Wrestler (zakash I think, was the landlord). Some right lads in there on match days, and away coaches used to drive past as they parked up near the gas works, and pub regularly emptied as everyone popped outside to welcome the visiting fans.
