According to both the U.S. and U.K. game's instruction manual "saved data on this software cannot be reset."Basically what Capcom has done is make Mercenaries 3D a one-time play affair. Once you've unlocked all the goodies and played the entire game, you will not be able to erase the game's save data and start fresh as if it were a new copy. Consider this: lending Mercenaries 3D to a friend, a little brother or sister will be worthless because they'll only be able to continue playing the game with your saved settings and create their own. How the hell will they get away with this?
June 27, 201113 yr They'll get away with it because no matter what companies do to ruin games, tv, films, sport, etc... people still pay the money.

June 27, 201113 yr Wow and I thought some of the ways people were making you play through the game more than once were getting silly (karma systems, achievements, etc.) but only letting you play it once is a pretty big ripoff.

July 1, 201113 yr They'll continue to market add on's and make their money that way. This is a shame as Resident evil has been, and still is, on of my favourite gaming franchises ever. With RE4 being damn near the top of my all time lists

July 6, 201113 yr Wonder if it's worth buying a sealed copy when it's cheap, then keeping it for years, see how much it grabs on Ebay.
