I know the league has just started but what has changed at Chelsea yeah we got a new manager, but i still see the same flaws in the team as last year same players same 4-3-3,,when is this clear out of players going to happen?I just think unless we bring in 3-4 players cannot sea as challenging Man u or city.To many player 30+ and 50m striker does not look happy at all?

The 433 has changed in that our Centre Backs are pushing further up the park. Our first choice at right wing has been suspended, we've new lads who have yet to be blooded, and Juan Mata who looks the real deal has just been confirmed by Valencia!

We could get Modric, even if we don't we'll move out some players unsuited to our formation and move in lads who are better equipped for it on deadline day I'm sure!

At least AVB is willing to rectify mistakes he makes tactically , changing the formation really helped break down WBA, with Anelka in the free role and he brought off Kalou who was playing below his best. That's the least we need from a manager and it's an improvement over Ancelotti and his pre-planned substitutions. Give the lad until after the January Transfer window. I think this chelsea team has a great potential in 4-3-3, if we manage to buy modric, nasir or eriksen before the window closes. Kalou and anelka will most likely be replaced with mata and sturridge, hopefully sturridge can continues his preseason form. Romeu I think can challange mikel for the DM spot, in his u20 games for spain he was great and unlike mikel his passes was going forward, not sideways or backwards.

I think it will still take some time before we can see any real changes. I'm no expert, but I doubt things change over night when a new manager comes.

To be honest both teams we have played so far have pretty much parked the bus. I was at the game on saturday and second half we was mostly playing in their half. I expect a better performance against Norwich on saturday. Up the Chels.

Great point, Barn. I hate it when we just boot it upfield, and this is a very welcome change.

Booting up is an option when Drogba plays upfront and I'm sure we'd still see that when Drogba is there and we're chasing the game in the closing stages. Goal kicks still have to be long but the ball caught by the keeper are thrown rather than kicked which is a nice change.

Another subtle change which a lot of people have noticed is playing a high line and pressing the opposition from the front. We're not doing it as much as say Barca or United but we're doing it nonetheless.

To be fair we normally roll it out and start from the back unless we are chasing the game.
