Posted January 6, 200718 yr he was going to play not lampard, but turned up 40 minutes late for the pre-game meeting today and so jose put lamps in instead...diarra has scored a mighty own goal, unless this is his way of engineering a move away from the club
January 6, 200718 yr If that's true, then it looks as though he's been taking advice from Gallas. If so, then he can f*ck right off as well.
January 6, 200718 yr Bit quick to make judgement on it though. He may have a damn good reason for being late (i.e. he bumped into Jimmy on the drive in and had to take a detour around his ar*e) Who hasn't been late before because of something that was totally out their control?

That's why I used the word 'If' - twice

January 7, 200718 yr This is a cheap trick by Jose as far as I am concerned. OK Diarra was late and he shouldn't have been - I have no argument with that. However pray tell why Jose could not have just dealt with this internally? Drop him from the team, make it known to Diarra why he has been dropped and make sure the message is loud and clear that it should never happen again. Why take it to the press? Diarra has no way of putting across his side of the story to defend himself. Well he does, he could also go to the press but we all know that doing so would be very foolish in terms of his Chelsea career. OK none of us know the full story so it is a little difficult to make a proper assessment of the situation however my gut reaction is that Jose could have handled this much better.

I halfway agree with you there, it depends on if he had a damn good reason or not. If not, then Jose does have the right to be well and truly p***ed, he wanted to rest Lamps for the game but was forced to play him.
January 7, 200718 yr Like I said elsewhere Neil Barrett implied on Chelsea TV Diarra was not doing it on the training field and it sounded, albeit reading between the lines, that things were not going so smoothly.
January 7, 200718 yr Let's not argue. Diarra is going back to France. He had enough of these nonsense from Mourinho. Can you understand his frustration of signing and not been even featured as a substitute for half a season? There should not be an excuse for late coming, i agree. All professionals are paid to behave professionally. But to publicly chasten him is ridiculous for the young lad. This confirms my belief. An arrogant Mourinho must go.... Hello Hiddink
January 7, 200718 yr I love Hiddink after what he did for Australia. But even i'm not sure he's a better option for Chelsea long term. Yes he will have Chelsea playing more attractive football for sure, but I dunno that he will make us an overall better side. Let's face it, we sink the boot into Mourinho sometimes, but overall his been right much more than he has been wrong in his time here.
January 8, 200718 yr Octville, Your posts have a very derogatory nature more often than not. You seem to be the glory-hunting type that was so typified by the prawn-munchers up north. Just because things are rocky this season, you take swipes at JM with every other post. I wonder if we were top of the league with Sheva and Ballack busting the net on a weekly basis, would you be here moaning? Or would you be at RedCafe moaning?
