Thanks again to Chelsea FC for a thoroughly entertaining season. we took a gamble on a young manager, and it cost us some points, that is not even an argument, but I was pleased that the club at least took some risk; perhaps, we should have stayed with him a little longer, but we'll never know.

Then to have a legend like Roberto take over and do so well in the Cup competitions, it's been an emotional ride. With the final game of the season on the biggest stage in Cub football, Roberto could absolutely make this entire season worthwhile, and more emotional than any I can remember. Add to that if we won, and that's a big if, we'd knock Tottenham out, it'd be doubly sweet.

Also,a huge thanks to all that make this site run! it's the first site I go to each time I fire up the internet, and it's my main source of all things Chelsea. There are people on here I've known since the old CSR, and some who I call "mates" even though we've never met in person. Some of the debates are great, some leave me bewildered, and some sad about how we've been spoiled in recent years, but it'd be a boring site if we all came on and agreed with everything and dare not criticize the club.

So, just wanted to say thank you to you all. Let the silly season begin (believe me, we'll be linked with everyone this summer), and let's go to Munich and make this one of the best, ever!

Well said, Scott! But wait a wee minute... the FIRST site you turn to? There are others...??

This site is all the better for having you on it! ::clap2::

One more game..and what a game!

The season started with massive expectations and with a bright smile when I heard we had appointed AVB. Then slowly but surely it went to complete depression and Andre was out. At that point we were on damage control but then Robert gave the players back their say and the smell of trophies started to near and boom! our old guard showed why they still should play. Barca-Spuds-Barca-L*verpool is one of the greatest combinations of games in our recent history and surely the highlight of our season...so far!!

Now to beat Bayern who showed they are mere mortals. They were hammered by Dortmund at a final.

Lets make this one of the greatest season ever. One game decides it. Massive.

I dont want to come across as a moody git but we havent anything to say thanks for.

We've gone from double winners to 6th in 2 years, managers sacked again, players not putting in the effort because they didnt get on with the manager again, players sold in the jan who we could have done with(Anelka & Alex) match day ticket prices increased.

We should have dominated football for years with Romans money instead we've seen numerous succesful managers sacked, players got rid off then no money spent the in the summer only then to blow £75m on just two players one of which who's form is so unpredictable its untrue(Torres).

This season we've only won 7 away games, games against struggling sides three of which were relegated, Wolves, Villa, Blackburn, Sunderland, Bolton,Blackburn, Newcastle, only won one London derby & only beat a top four side once Man City at home.

For all the good Roman has done he along with his sidekicks have made some major f@ck ups, recently sacking a double winning manager who had no money to spend the following year yet we still finished 2nd, buying an out of form for too long, player in Torres for £50m

From RDM taking over yes we improved but lets not kid ourselves our league form was still poor, lucky to beat Wigan, created hardly anything at Fulham home to Spurs or away to Arsenal, to be fair we cant knock our performances in the CL especially away to Barca but we also had plenty of luck along the way, so thanks? nah i dont think so(we'll not unless we get the right result sat night  )

Excellent post Scott, although I missed "thank you Chelsea for aging me about 20 years in one bloody season".

Thank goodness this site and its members (well, most of them) keep me sane. Sane-ish. Sort of.

When can we expect next season's fixtures list for a new round of torture? Can't wait!

Carshalton,

I am thankful that we are still competitive, I am thankful that we won an FA Cup and are in the CL final, I am thankful for some of the members on here and this site in general (which I also mentioned).

I understand that the club has been mis managed recently, but thanks where it is due. Maybe we needed a season of under performance in the league to show the club that the tired z"this squad is good enough" line would not continue for long

Fair enough mate but i find us frustrating at times, we've always been the same have success then implode, done it in the 70s with Eddie Macreadie, the 80s with John Neal, the 90s with Gullit & Vialli, the 00s with Jose & in recent years with Carlo, now we're 6th & hoping to win a final to get us back in the CL.

I completely understand the frustration, and i have only been with Chelsea since the early 90's

Just trying to be thankful for what we have and those on these boards
