Bloodzeed on Sopcast

Featured Replies

Evening fellow Blues,

Not sure if people here know about this stream, but there's a Spurs fan who streams everything shown live on SkySports and ESPN in HD through the programme Sopcast. The stream is called 'Bloodzeed', and you can find his Twitter page under that name too. His streams are always listed on wiziwig.

The streams themselves are amazingly good. They run at about 2.2Mbps so you'll need a decent connection for it, but believe they are worthwhile. Most streams that come through browsers are no better than 500 kbps.

Sopcast is a great little programme, and no there are no viruses. I've had it for about 5/6 years with no trouble whatsoever, and its now compatible for the Mac too.

Enjoy the stream!

His streams are a lifesaver for a sports fan without Sky, the picture quality is so good you wouldn't even know it's streaming.

Agreed, despite his questionable team affiliation (according to Twitter he supports Tottenham), BloodZeed may well be the best Sopcast stream I've ever seen.

His streams have declined in quality considerably from last year to this, but are still better than most other sources out there.

Just had a look at his twitter for the first time, though, and it's clear he's an insufferably stupid little mug.

I downloaded sopcast for my macbook last night and tried to find this bloodzeed channel...how do you get access to it??

I ended up watching the city game on sky and streamed the madrid match from a link off wiziwig.

Bloodzeed's link is usually listed on wiziwig - click that sopcast link and it logs in automatically (for me it does, anyway)

Just install TorrentStream (and not StreamTorrent) and use that for it. It worked great with YES for me last night. It's integrated into a VLC player clone, what is great for me as I always used VLC as external player for the SopCast streams anyway.

Mod, it's very easy. Just go to options, and right on the first page check use my own media player and set the path to vlc.exe. Start a stream and click on the switch player button (it has no name or label, its is left from the fullscreen button) and that's it.

According to his Twitter, Bloodzeed has decided to "retire" from streaming as of this week.

I think I also saw something from him saying that he will be back, but is just taking a break, in which case he should have perhaps used the term "hiatus" rather than "retire".

To be honest he probably doesn't understand the difference between the two terms.
