Like most Chelsea fans I havent much love for Rafa, but I thought i would give him the benifit of the doubt for a few games.  That time has now ended after todays game.  Torres looks lost when given the ball! Rafa Out! Torres Out! (In January Sales at a heavily discounted price!)  :-)

The last time we had a real shot at winning the prem was when we last won it. It just shows over the course of the last 3 seasons how unbalanced we have been. The meddling is fully effecting the club now, we are a real mess.

Yeah they are better than Kalou and Malouda but with the constant meddling at the club we are never going to see the best of them.

Roman IS a fool. He has sacked 3 managers who, given time would have built a squad that would be consitently winning titles.

Jose was sacked, Carlo was sacked and RDM was sacked after winning the CL and on the back of a dodgy refereeing performance v Utd and a defeat against a good team in WBA.. Juve was similar to the Napoli result for AVB - both knew it was over irrespective of results.

He wants attacking Barca style football so employs Rafa who is a defensive long ball style manager - very clever move

Back then our problems were related to the squad, Star. In many ways that was the easy thing to fix. The AVB thing pissed me off to no end, but it was the same old same old re: impatience with mangers. Just more costly that time.

 

Now we seem to have no direction, no leadership or sense within the club, and as supporters we find ourselves with no voice. A few weeks ago I, you, almost everyone here was outraged. Now, that situation has become the status quo. Rafa Benitez is the manager, despite all those howls of protest.

 

We're Champions of Europe thanks to huge amounts of guts and luck to match it. In some ways it feels like we must have done a deal with the devil to win that, and now we are paying with our souls. CFC is just a vacuous blue husk now, tottering along week to week through more mediocre results. If the club dont care about history (robbie), supporters (rafa out), or results (3 easy wins, 2 draws, 2 losses) then its hard to remember what the point is anymore.

Yes, quite frankly. It would surprise me a great deal, given the CO cup is one of only three more trophies we can realistically win.

I fully expect Torres to start too, and play the 90 minutes.
