Not really. Martin hasn't said/wrote who are the parents. Everyone is just presuming who the parents are.

I think Jon Snow is exactly who is is said to be - Eddard Stark's bar steward.  Otherwise Eddard would surely have confided the truth to Caitlin, who would then have had no reason for hating Jon Snow.

Eddard had quite a lot of flashbacks of Lyanna asking her: "Promise me, Ned." in the first book. And if someone will keep a promise not to tell a secret to anyone even his own wife, that would be Ned Stark. Also Robert would have killed him for sure if he ever found out. But as you wrote this is just a theory, there are others too.

I heard The Mad King had a habit of sharing woman & I read that Lyanna was the fairest in the Relm. If there was a competition & the Winner of the Competition could have any woman he wanted. Also Aerys II Targaryen was the King & if he wanted to, he could sleep w/ Lyanna. Ok I know it's a stretch but Jon Snow could have the Blood of Dragons inside him. What I am trying to say is I can't see Ned fathering a child that wasn't from Cat. He is all about keeping his oath/word to people.

Lyanna wasn't in King's Landing, and Jon would have the same blood in him from Rhaegar ;)

that last episode left me totally confused

Literally shaking after just having watched that episode, I don't think i've ever felt so shocked or angry by a television show in my life.

hah yeah i've calmed down now but at the time it was something else, first time the show has really shocked me - I don't normally get worked up over sh*t that isn't real.
