Demand for Everton away

Featured Replies

Alrite guys,

I'm thinking of getting tickets to Everton away in September. They go on sale to season ticket holders tomorrow and to members next Monday.

Slightly waffly question, but Just wondering if anyone can remember how fast these tend to sell out? For games like Spurs away often there aren't even any tickets left by the time they are available to members. So I just want to guage if there's still a chance I can get the Everton ones next Monday through my membership, or if I need to use a mate's ST privilege this week.

Thanks

I think there will be some 800-1000 tickets available for members, but you have to be quick to get it.

Traditionally Everton away takes a while to sell out. There is subsidised travel this time however. But i would imagine if you want one, and log on for am on the day they go on sale to members then you'll be fine.

A new conundrum:

Apparently the last train from Liverpool to London on the day leaves at 19:48, which by my calculations is roughly 30 minutes after the game will finish.

According to Google maps it's about 3 miles from Goodison to the station.

From experience, does anyone know if this half hour is enough time to get back to the station on foot? I'm guessing that its fine via cab/bus but can imagine it'll be really difficult to get one of those after the game.

Three miles in 30 minutes?  Unlikely I'd' ve said unless you have experience of running!  Have you looked at the Everton site?  There seems to be a match day shuttle bus but no idea how busy it gets.  But it may be an option.  http://www.evertonfc.com/tickets/by-bus-or-train.html

Or are Chelsea running transport for this one?  Hope someone else can give you more advice based on experience.

Return coach for a tenner through the club- never done it though so no idea what it's like?

Sounds like a bargain!  It'll take a while - maybe 5 hours each way?  But you can sleep (as long as it's not too raucous!) and it'd be easy.

Half an hour is no where near enough time to get back to Lime Street from Goodison.

Last year, I got normal public transport after the game, think it was the 17 from Anfield to the centre of Liverpool. While it was pretty busy, there was a bus around every 10 mins.

Thanks for the responses guys.

Well that's just great, the coach has sold out. Silly me.

If I got a cab booked to be ready at Goodison at 19:15, would that be enough time to get to Lime Street for 19:48?

I've been to Goodison twice... No chance in you walking back to Lime St in 30 mins. Maybe leave 5 mins early and hop in a cab? It was between 5-10 mins if I remember right...

No way is it enough time. Let's say the police decide to keep the away support back for a few minutes which can happen. Your taking a big chance. Was only at goodison park once and getting out was quite slow.

What about National express or Megabus coaches? They're slower and you'd probably have to travel back overnight, but you'll be in London for Sunday Morning.

I'm sure the chelsea fans will be drinking in arkles pub just on the corner of anfield road. Last time I was in that pub the barmaid said we were the worst behaved supporters she ever had in there. It was the leauge cup semi v everton. Anyone on here there that night?

1 spare for Everton away ticket in hamd already. if anybody needs it contact me, away season ticket holder who can't make this one.
