Could well be the case, though you could also throw such a description of the games at Stoke, Newcastle, West Brom (also home), West Ham at home etc.

The title race sort of reminds me of a relay race, every time you think someone is pulling away after doing something great they slip over and let the others get past them, only for the others to slip over again lol.

Really hope this game acts as a great Spur for Atletico. They won impressively away from home too today. Very, very hard match.

I hope for that too, I believe in Schwarzer now more than ever.

I saw Atletico's line-up and it was full strength with Costa playing the full 90. add to that a flight to London and hopefully we will be that 5-10% fitter/sharper that could make all the difference on wednesday night. we have to be full of belief, and im hoping we will attack them from the off as i think we have more than enough to expose them

If we attack them from the off they'll pick us apart.

We're about to enter the most intricate game of chess we've seen all season.

Thanks for reminding us, can't be too happy about todays win without being constantly reminded of reasons not to be happy

It's better to be reminded, If we go on like nothing ever happened we may as well lose it for the same reasons next season, It's something we can improve upon and ill be f**king honest, It is very f**king painful to bear it alone, f**king depressing ain't it

They had to be though, they have Real and Barca breathing down their necks right and have a really good chance of winning La Liga.

As Fatty said, this is a hugely tactical game coming up.

Try this,

instead of being depressed and depressing yourself about it

Enjoy todays win, and worry about it in the summer.

I much prefer losing a game here and there against teams who have fought hard and possibly surprised us with a gritty performance (or a jammy referees decision) than lose to a direct rival after planning the tactics meticulously and still being second best.

If I could change our first home defeat from an embarrassing loss to Sunderland or City or Liverpool coming and beating us in our own back yard I know which I'd take.

We have no right to win every game, this season is Joses first back and he is drilling these players into the winning machine he knows he can make them, there will be mistakes along the way and lapses in concentration, I applaud the fact that those lapses haven't been common in games against our main rivals.

How anyone can complain about this season whatever the outcome amazes me.

It is painful, but there's nothing that we, as fans, can do about it. So just enjoy today's victory while the moment lasts.

There's nothing wrong with celebrating but there is some real harm in looking past teams. We still don't know if Liverpool will win the league or not, Citeh still have opportunities to bottle it. We have to remember just days ago people on here were calling for heads to roll including Mourinho today they are anointing him a god again. I for one think rash reactions are a little too much, we have a much bigger game now on Wednesday and Atletico aren't rolling over. There's no harm in celebrating but there's also no harm in respecting our opponent. Something we didn't do against Sunderland...
