December 12, 201510 yr The media are a fickle bunch, always chasing the next disaster. The temperature has reduced with regard to Chelsea because despite our poor results, Roman Abramovich has so far stood behind Mourinho. Jose is also making fewer crackpot comments in his press interviews. He is simply giving them less to play with. So attention this week turns to LVG next week it'll be someone else. That's the way it is.
December 12, 201510 yr We've always had a bad relationship with the press well before roman bought the club
December 12, 201510 yr I don't think there is any campaign but the one we want there to be. If you ask ManU or Arsenal fans if they think there is a campaign against them they say hell yes. Point is we are and can never be objective concerning Chelsea. We are fans. I disagree, I think we can be objective. When it comes to debates against rival fans maybe over WhatsApp or a face to face conversation I can understand defending your club through it all. However I don't get some fans who have their head in the sand on a dedicated Chelsea forum.
December 12, 201510 yr We've always had a bad relationship with the press well before roman bought the club Does seem like they are pulling for us to fail more than the other big clubs. I didnt see anyone making up stories about Liverpool players when Rodgers was about to go.
December 12, 201510 yr Does seem like they are pulling for us to fail more than the other big clubs. I didnt see anyone making up stories about Liverpool players when Rodgers was about to go. Bates was forever banning and often sued members of the media this is not anything new. Don't worry about it I don't anymore
December 13, 201510 yr We haven't been this big that long and the media is full of Arsenal, ManU and especially Pool fans. Takes long for them to see us being elite instead of new money. However we can't be fully objective. It just isn't possible.
December 21, 201510 yr So let's say you had a club owned by a man of dubious wealth, and their manager had been there two years, and in that time he had secured a runners-up spot, the title and the League Cup, and let's say in this, his third campaign, they looked a sure-fire bet to reach the CL quarter-finals and they were possibly favourites to win the league, and let's say this club were openly courting the services of another manager, and everybody knew this time next year he would be in charge, let's call him Pep for argument's sake, would the media go into a frenzy and call the club classless and offer loads of sympathy for the current manager and say that they were undermining him? Not if you're called Man City it seems.
December 21, 201510 yr That is cos no one knows Where Pep is going - It can be United or City or even PSG for all you know. It is too early to criticize City. So let's say you had a club owned by a man of dubious wealth, and their manager had been there two years, and in that time he had secured a runners-up spot, the title and the League Cup, and let's say in this, his third campaign, they looked a sure-fire bet to reach the CL quarter-finals and they were possibly favourites to win the league, and let's say this club were openly courting the services of another manager, and everybody knew this time next year he would be in charge, let's call him Pep for argument's sake, would the media go into a frenzy and call the club classless and offer loads of sympathy for the current manager and say that they were undermining him?
